Quinn knows Dexter's into some messed up shite but after Dexter cleared him when he could have framed him for the PI's murder, he is gonna lay off. Plus he doesnt want to ruin his shot with Deb.

This sounds plausible in the context of a TV show, but if you take a step back, it makes no sense whatsoever with how real people would behave.

you have to be able to suspend some disbelief for tv shows. if you nitpick it to death, everything will come out looking dumb.

i enjoyed the premier and thought it was much better than last years.

it still bothers me how insane dexter must be to imagine harry all the time giving him advice. thats one aspect of the show that takes me out of the context of it.

I know, and Dexter has been granted tons of leeway by fans of the show. I feel like the writers might be abusing it now, though.

Eh. I always just took that as an artistic manifestation of his thought process.

I hadn't heard anything about this season, so his presence on the show was a shock. I'm not sure who I'll be going for - Dexter or Admiral Adama.

Dexter's cool and all, but Adama helped saved the human race. I'm so conflicted.

I just watched the episode this morning. In general I really can't stand it when TV/Movies/etc bring religion into the equation, so I was a little disappointed when I saw things going that direction. However, it looks like it might not necessarily be "religious" as much as it uses spiritual text as a storyline, ala Se7en. Seven is one of my favorite movies ever, and I can see these 2 new bad guys on Dexter doing something similar, using the Bible to create weird ways to kill people to send a message. That kind of plot would be pretty cool IMO, and I would enjoy seeing that.

I wonder how Dexter ends up finding out about these guys?
