We all know the angles. We all know the stats. But, based upon many of the positions I read here, we can only attribute this year's success to date on the involuntary absence of JJ. That is to say Les is successful despite himself.

The most successful coach in LSU HISTORY really doesn't know what he's doing nor does he understand HIS team.......is this a correct interpretation? I mean he is out of touch and doesnt know each and every players capabilities. Right?

I mean, you PEs, CPAs, half drunk students, meterologists, service industry employees, bar tenders, waiters, plant operators, car salesmen know more than the Mad Hatter. Hell thats why you all have reached the pinnacle of success in your respective fields. You choose not to offer your brilliant football insight to LSU (or any other elite college/pro team) because, let's face it, it's just boring.

I know what's got so many of us stumped today is how in the frick did JL turn it around?!?!?! We all had his arse shipped off to SFA to have a happier ending to his putrid football career. Oh well, I guess its that pathetic idea that he's a "True Tiger"......whatever the frick that means.

Do you really think Les is stupid? If you have a mirror, you might want to bring up some tough questions this morning.

no

he's just a "big picture" guy, and not a details guy. he's also stubborn and loyal to a fault. Which helps LSU win games, and also lose some games we shouldn't have

What makes you think JJ would not be as good as JL? That is a huge assumption. Nothing over the previous 3 years has shown either to be much better than the other. The big change this year is a new OC. To assume JJ hasn't improved as much as JL has no basis. I'm not at all saying I want JJ over JL.

ETA: I didn't read the rest of your post so I realize isn't what you were saying...

Not clueless but more goofy. If he was clueless then he wouldn't be the head coach of a major college football program. I can't tell if he lacks some common sense or just prefers to do things his own weird way

It's refreshing to see a solid post on the rant these days

Some LSU fans used to joke that Miles took an hour and a half to watch 60 Minutes.

Not any more.

There is a God. Thank you CharlesLSU. Maybe there's a reason Miles has won a game or two. This site and a lot of the comments overwhelm me sometimes. It is refreshing to know there are some that actually have a freakin' clue.

I've always said I can't believe Alleva doesn't troll this board for a new coach.

He'd save a helluva lot of money and get a better coach too.

Miles is the smartest coach in America. He can say words without actually saying anything and leave the listener spellbound by his scintillating bullshite.

Then he goes out and kicks arse on the football field.

Genius.

Reading the posts of some around here would lead you to believe that's the case.

that's the funniest part of all of this....it would be one thing to hear the JJ/Miles bashing at an NCAA coaches convention, but to hear it by the 'common man' is comical....as if they have ANY idea how a big-time NCAA program really works...

shut up and enjoy the season !

we're 4-0, ranking #1, and 90% of the posts here are complaining

I don't think the average fan has any idea how much football even an average HC knows. Imagine being around as much football tradition as Miles.

Could not agree more. When will people realize that Miles' prepares his team to WIN. The asst coaches prepare the team to WIN. The unorthodox game management has been frustrating in the past, but I believe it more a reflection of the past OC. I support the players, the coaches and the fans. If you have ever been a part of a team, you realize it is always us against them. I do not see this team divided, in fact, I see this as a more unified team going forward.
