what about kentucky? tennessee? We put up over 500 yds of offense against "the best defense in the nation".. LSU is a great team and got into our heads in the first half we calmed down in the third quarter and you couldnt do anything about it. Take away four tunrovers which you scored on after getting the ball back.. and thats the game.. WVU is under-rated. Look out for us next year, Once we get our run game up we will be the best offense in the nation... We might be bottom feeders in the sec for a few seasons but it wouldnt take long before we got our recruiting game together and started competeing for the sec title.

How long is "long?"

What they don't understand is passing 60 times = turnovers will happen. It's a statistical fact. Their defense sucks too.

Yards =/= great team

They would need a better run game but it's not that far-fetched

Um... No. Although I suppose they'd be in the East, which is currently down, so perhaps they'd stand a better chance than I give them credit for until they get demolished in the SEC championship game by a western opponent. That won't last long, though. The east will rise again.

They could compete in the SEC like TT can in the Big-12, which is saying worry about them every 4 or 5 yrs at best...in your division only!

Doesn't seem to be that far fetched to me. I mean what he said about competing and getting more and better recruiting after entering the SEC is realistic. They clearly competed with us last night.

4 turnovers plus what, maybe another 3 or 4 near misses? that offense will cough it up consistently against good sec defenses every game. its no different than texas tech or the old kentucky air raid

I love when other people act like turnovers aren't forced.

SEC is top heavy this year. They could definitely be mid tier in the SEC this year.

how come fans dont understand this? its like they literally spotted us 4 TDs b/c of TOs and we didnt do anything to force the TOs.

ya, youre offense can rack up yards. you gotta score and you gotta play better D. simple as that.

It doesn't matter how many yards you run in-between the endzones, it is about getting into the endzone to score. It also doesn't matter that you had one great quarter (3rd for WVU) it matters what the score is after 4 quarters.

only three things can happen when you pass, and two of them are bad.

After spending the weekened in Morgantown, the best way I can describe the mental state of the WVU fans is like the fat girl who just wants a date to the prom. The fans who weren't throwing the f bombs, were telling us how badly they want to be in the SEC.

Unfortunately, if admitted to the SEC, we would require all WVU plays to count.

You do realize it would have taken four MORE TDs for WVU to win...that's more than double your entire offensive output.

Can WVU compete in the SEC? Even with WVU being pumped for this game, Mississippi State played us tougher...and they're not among the conference's elite. So where would WVU fall in the SEC?

LSU almost scored as many pts. against WVU as the Tigers scored against Northwestern State...maybe they should be in the SEC too.

None of what you said is wrong but somehow the tone seems as though the game was closer than it actually was!

We DOMINATED them 47-21 - Which means even if they were to double their score, they would still need another TD to win!

All the running between the end zones doesn't do squat for the offense when the ball never goes into the end zone.

If a team were to have zero passing attack and relied completely on the running game and had the same 3 TDs , no one would have the same impression about the very same one dimensional team. Passing is just fancier to look at from a fan's perception.

I hate when people make excuses about turnovers like this when their team loses a game. It's as stupid as one of us saying "If it weren't for WVU scoring 21 points, LSU would have shut them out.

One common theme I keep seeing from WVU SEC enthusiasts is they assume they will miraculously be recruiting on the same level as the big boys of the SEC immediately.

It's comical. Selling Morgantown to these talented southern recruits will be no easier than selling Starkville. Only, a much colder version of Starkville.
