BCS Tickets in New Orleans - Question

Does anyone know of a website that you can go to where you can buy tickets for you team to the national title. The way it works is that you would pay $50 very early in the season, and the price per ticket goes up as the season get closer to the end.
But if your team goes, and you bought the tickets early, you have essentially bought NC tickets for $50.
It is a gamble, but I just wanted to know if anyone heard about this?

The site is called dibz or something like that now. The price you reserve the tickets for on the website is in addition to the actual cost of the ticket. The gamble just gives you the opportunity to buy tickets if your team makes it.

Google ticket reserve....dont know actual sight...but yes you buy reserves for your team making particular game and if they make it you are guaranteed face value tickets for the number of reserves you buy. However, like previously mentioned, the reserve cost is on top of ticket value. Looked last week and cheapest reserves were $150 per ticket....reserve works on probability of team going....thus the longer we remain undefeated...the reserve amount will slowly get more expensive.

Ticket reserve. And the reservation is way more than $50 for teams with a high probability of getting there. LSU reserves are starting around $200 and go up to $600.

This is badass. But I wouldn't do it to my fellow Tigers fans. Last year I booked my hotel for NOLA/ Sugar Bowl in the first qtr of the Arky game. Well, you all know what happened then.

We did this in 2007 ... bought 2 reserves for $5 each ... $15 total with transaction fees. Should have bought 10 but who knew? I figured what the hell I'll just throw $15 in the garbage.
Worked out great. IF we would make it it's the less expensive route to go ... if we DON'T and you've bought the reserves, well you are OUT the money.
My 20th anniversary is in January ... I told my husband that NO EXPENSE WILL BE SPARED ... if LSU is there, I'm there too. I'm giving up a "romantic/destination trip" for another National Championship. I was there in 2003 and in 2007 and if the Tigers are there this year, I'll be there too!!!

This website was the only reason I was able to get tickets to the game in 2007. After we lost to Arkansas, rights to reserve title game tickets for LSU went from like $350 down to $5 a piece. I said what the hell and reserved 2 tickets for $10 in the hopes that West Virginia would lose and we would jump all the way up to #2 and we did! So I was able to purchase 2 tickets for face value + $10. After Pitt won, the prices skyrocketted to $700+. I could have made a $1400 profit right there and sold but I decided to keep the tickets and go to the game. Wouldn't change it for anything.

You are only reserving the right to buy a ticket(s) at face value.
It's basically the equivalent to a stock option. The money does not go towards the tickets either.

However, up until the market closes you can trade your Reservations in your teams' marketplace. Be sure to check the marketplace as the season progresses as bids to buy may be posted at anytime.
Buying:
You can purchase a Team Ticket Reservation for one (1) ticket for any team you believe will qualify for the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship Game. If your selected team qualifies for the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship Game, your purchase of Team Ticket Reservation guarantees you face value tickets to the game!
Bidding:
A Bid allows YOU to set the price that you are willing to pay for a Team Ticket Reservation(s). Your Bid will be posted in the marketplace. Only when a buyer agrees to your asking price, can a bid be transacted.
For Example: After watching your team score a convincingly win over a major competitor, you decide to buy more Reservations, but you do not want to pay the current market price. Fear not, you can place a "Bid" in the marketplace by clicking on the seating zone you wish to purchase, and entering the price YOU want to pay for the Reservation.
Selling:
Team Ticket Reservations carry a market value based on how your team is performing and the chances of them qualifying for the 2012 Allstate BCS National Championship Game. While your team is active on the field you can be active in the market!
For Example: Imagine, you are watching a game. Suddenly your team fumbles, which instantly leads to a crushing loss to a major competitor. Your chances to make the BCS Championship suddenly drop or imagine something comes up that prevents you from attending the game. Fear not, you can also sell your Reservation in our 24/7 marketplace at any point during the active season. Additionally, you can view all the current "bids" in your teams' specific marketplace at any time, if you see a price you like, you can sell your Reservation transact immediately and the funds will be deposited into your account.

The only better story that I read (and almost did myself) was LSU fans who bought Ohio State reserves when they lost to whoever it waas for $5 x 10 reserves and THEN bought 10 @ $5 for LSU ... they had *** 20 *** tickets to the game for face value +$100.
THAT would have been sweet!!!!!

I got my tickets for the 2007 national championship game this way. At the time the site was called ticket reserve. Early in the 2007 season, i bought six reservations at 75 each. Once we started winning, I was able to sell four reservations for 600 and still had two reservations left. I was able to buy two tickets at face value which at the time of the 2007 championship game were around 250 each, but the same tickets were selling on ebay and stub hub for over a 1,000.
I purchased two Plaza Level reservation after the win over Oregon for $165 each. They have already increased in value. One must remember that if we don't go the big dance the reservations are basically worthless.

I also got tickets in 2007 through the Reservation system purchased at $75.
I remember the craziest part of that year being other LSU fans buying reserves for Kansas and Missouri(i believe it was) both undefeated for like $5, then posting on the KU and Missouri boards trying to get their fans to purchase so we could re-sell them in the market once the inventory sold out and pay for our LSU reserves that way.
I wish I could find that old forum thread it stretched for at least 300 pages. Anyone else remember that?

It's a good chunk of change to gamble this year...it's worth it if we go though.
If you've got money to burn, you could buy some up from all of the top 5 teams. You should at least make your money back on the resell if LSU doesn't make themselves.
