I wish we were a mixed offense team. You throw some passes and we open up the run. We don't throw enough right now imo. Play action loves you baby.

"what exactly is it goint to take for you (and others) to be 100% sold on Jarrett Lee?"

Probably when he quits throwing off his back foot which is causing him to float the ball or when we decide to throw downfield on a regular basis. I was sold before the season started but our passing game with him at QB is worse than it was last year and it should be better, especially 3 weeks into the season.

and he still threw off his back foot too much.

He does it every time. I'm starting to think this is just how he throws a football. Even with no pressure, he throws it and then bails out. Really weird. Perhaps this is why he has never beaten anyone out for the starting spot.
But as long as the ball continues to get where it needs to, I won't complain too much. I already have Lee lovers pissed off at me for not "giving him his due". lol

we have been doing the pitchback with the first run vs or.
it's how the pros do it, and it gives ware and ford time to pick the path.
we don't go east west........we go down the throat.
and the pitchback gives the rb more torque.

His having a good game against a good team. That's what it will take for most of the fanbase. You can talk up MSU all you want, but they are still MSU. If he plays well against Bama, people will be sold.

He did pretty good last year when we needed him for the most part and he only looks better this year. There are some that I truly believe would make excuses if he threw for 300 yards against Bama. "Well he really under threw that ball but halfway in flight the wind picked up and pushed it to Randle for that 30 yard pass; should have been a pick."

Insane. 40-59 444 yards 3 TD 1 INT through 2 and half games. You realize we only had 4 TDs passing in the regular season?

I love the Lee can't do squat vs Bama arguement. He did pretty decent and came through in the clutch against Bama last year. Especially when you throw in the fact that he came in off the bench in that pressure situation. Yeah I get the fact that he had 4 INTs as a freshman, against the #1 team in the nation and still they had to take the game to overtime to secure the victory.

Back to the OP's initial gripe... the disjointed handoffs happened only when JL signaled a run side change. Sooo, it is obvious that it was simple miscommunication. Something that is easily fixed. Im sure it will be ironed out quickly.
