Are Manchester?

Yeah, City and United, that much better than everyone else? They each crushed(or are in the process of crushing) 2 teams who have been 4th-6th place for the last couple of years. I know that Arsenal is seriously weakened, Tottenham isn't looking too great, but 5-1 and now 6-1 scores against these teams are just incredible. Do y'all think that Arsenal/Tottenham are just that bad, or are City/United that damn good? In my opinion, it's a combination of both, with City/United primarily being really F'ing good.

its a combo, but to be perfectly fair, i think a GOOD portion of it has to be arsenal being down. the youth in man utds squad makes me pumped but arsenal and arsene for that matter just don't have a lot to work with atm.
HOWEVER, its their own damn fault if they don't buy. so not too much sympathy from me on that point.

Combination of both.
Spurs just aren't a team right now. Morris clearly wants out. Not sure if Crouch is going to be at White Hart Lane after this week. And Van der Vaart just looks frustrated beyond belief. Hopefully things can smooth over after the transfer deadline.
As for the 2 Manchester clubs, they're (IMO) the 2 best sides in the Premier League this year.

Unfortunately, I think that you're right. Beating these teams by 4-5 goals is sick. Chelsea couldn't even put away Norwich at home yesterday until a PK with 20' left (but I do think that Chelsea will begin to mesh as the season progresses and that there will be a needed signing or 2). No one is currently at their level, and even though the season is very young, I'm not so sure that I can believe that anyone will really threaten them. It looks to me like everyone will be fighting for 3rd place, with Chelsea hopefully an exception.

Arsenal is god awful. Spurs looked like shite. Although Citeh and United have looked amazing, I will reserve my judgement until after a few more games.

It really is only a 4 team race though, with 2 clearly ahead of the others.

Looks the Wolves are lining up perfectly for a top 5 finish.
1. City/United
2. City/United
3. Chelsea
4. Pool
5. Wolverhampton

lol this past weekend was pretty epic... it seems like wolves, chelsea, liverpool, city, and united all tried to one up each other
i mean getting a 0-0 draw at villa park is normally good, but... chelsea got a kind of run-of-the-mill home win, then liverpool impressed, but that was nothing compared to the london blitz
and the bottom 5 is fulham, arsenal, west brom, blackburn, and tottenham
boy if the season can keep up like this i wouldn't even mind a united quadruple if wolves surprise everyone, the boing boings finish 20th like i predicted, and we see performances like this

But are they bad enough to get relegated for the first time since 1919?

Negative...you cant forget that they were without quite a few players (injury or suspension), that will be back this season. I'm sure AW will get a couple in before the deadline, too.
They just looked so uninspired out there...like Torres was with us, last year. They may dig too deep a hole early on for top 4, but I have a feeling they will be fighting for it, in the end.

No, but after living through Hicks, Gilette and Hodgson it is nice to watch another Big 4 team waddle in shite.

we're talking about arsenal... what's spurs doing at the very bottom?
i know city and united whipped them but they're supposed to be at least somewhat competitive with the top of the table...
EDIT- Vick, please don't give Wolves fans a bad name

Arry really screwed himself by not selling Modric ten days ago.
At the end of the season you can probably toss Spurs, Stoke, Wolves, Villa and Everton in a sack and draw names for 6 - 10.

let's see where we are in november before i say that...
1. city
2. liverpool
3. chelsea
4. united
big question for 5 and 6... how far behind will spurs and arsenal fall and can they make it up?

I was just joking, since it looked like two of the top six are not where they should be. However, the start to this year has been thrilling.
