I'm officially declaring it the Chad Jones punt return against MSU
When you look at how many people had a legit chance to tackle him it's pretty bewildering how he managed to score on that play.
That type of shite only happens in Tecmo Bowl
I don't think any other play can really compare to that

Skylar Green catching the TD pass in the north end zone against Georgia in '03. Most spectacular to me because it was fricking insane to be in that stadium when it happened.

nice but Billy Cannon's halloween run is the best

Bert Jones pass to Brad Davis vs. Ole Miss in 72!

That was a fluke
I don't consider flukes to be spectacular. Highly entertaining but when there is as much luck as skill involved I'm not as impressed.
The run by Jones and the blocking were just great.

It's the most famous but it's not near as spectacular a run

Todd Kinchen's punt return against A&M should get an honorable mention.
Also Eddie Kennison's 102 yard return - yes, he did take it out of the end zone!

Thanks to everyone for participating
But let's be honest. This thread was never about me accepting nominations for whatever play you think is the greatest.
This is about me telling you that the Chad Jones play is the greatest and you all willfully accepting that truth.
If you want to bringeth praise then please do so. But this isn't up for debate.

His run was good but the most spectacular ever? A return that took about 16 minutes against a shitty punt coverage and mediocre Miss State. I don't think so...

Your opinion is of no value here

its basically the same thing, in a much more important game.
honest question, have you ever seen Cannon's run?
7 or 8 people had a shot at him, it went 89 yards back the other way

LSU vs Arkansas 1908 had a triple pass play that may never be equal.
This at a time when you did not catch the pass it was a 15 yard penalty.

Yeah. Anyone who has ever watched an LSU football game has seen it

Eh if you look a lot of the people were falling down and took themselves out of the play
I think the Jones one is more impressive

Don't forget the infamous windmilling PP that had to slow down and almost backpedal a little bit because he was starting to burn Jones in his excitement.
