If we go 11-1, and don't make Atlanta, I doubt a single person will have anything bad to say about Miles or the team.

If we go 6-6, and don't make Atlanta, I think a couple of more fair-weather fans might speak up.

Dude,

What if this happens....is a helluva way to live your life. If we don't get to Atlanta, we'll deal with it. Now, let's get on with living..............

What happens to Miles if we fail to make Atlanta and a BCS Bowl Game for the fourth straight year?

I'm gonna be really, really upset.

I mean, I can't handle another run of the mill Top 10 football season like 2010.

This will mark the fourth year in a row we are not in Atlanta or a BCS Bowl if we do not make it this year.

Miles will get a pass and this period of time will be known as the JJ era.

I have asked you this no less than 5 times, and I still don't think you've had the balls to answer. Who had a more successful season last year, LSU or South Carolina?

The fact is we could go 11-1 with our only loss on the road to 12-0 Bama and not win the West. Or we could go 8-4(or even 7-5) and wind up in Atlanta. We could lose JJ and Mett to ACLs in September. Who knows. All kinds of shite could happen. We'll just have to let it all play out to see how we'll feel about the season.

The highest expectations for next year are coming from the biggest Miles' supporters. Most of the people like me who are taking a wait and see approach are realistic in setting the bar at a West Title. The expectations are through the roof and his biggest supporters are being the most unfair to him. They are the ones pushing this NC crap when we have won nothing in 3 years.

LSU was not a perennial Top 10 team until Miles arrived.

Wait a minute, Hitchcock - that can't be right!!!! Our previous coach to Miles had turned us into a yearly power, right?

Uh, well, in his final 3 seasons, LSU won the national title in one year, was ranked 16th at the end of the second year, and was unranked in the 3rd year. That's a yearly power, isn't it???

Miles is out of excuses.

For what???

Having the best winning percentage in LSU history for an LSU coach who has coached at least 2 seasons or being the only coach in the SEC with 4 final 8 rankings and four 11 win seasons in the last 6 yrs or being 28-1 in OOC games or being in the Top 5 among BCS schools for wins since 2005???

No school in the West has gone to Atlanta more times than LSU since 2005 and no school in the West has won more SEC games or been to a BCS bowl more than LSU and no school in the West has a better bowl record than LSU since 2005.

You don't need excuses when your program is the best the SEC West has to offer and Top 5 in the nation since 2005.

miles beat Saban at home last season that gives him at least 2 years
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When did LSU become so small time program that prides itself on beating one team or coach? That's fricking weak.

McClendon got fired for not beating Alabama 2-8
You lose all game will Alabama Your OK

Nothing if LSU keeps making the revenue expected every year. When LSU starts losing money, then they'll put his head on the chopping block.

Miles is not going anywhere for a long time. 63&17 in the Sec is great. Bear would take this & not even play a game!

I'll tell you what would happen: what Tigerdroppings could not kill, Tigerdroppings would fire.

But thankfully, Tigerdroppings is not in charge. Miles would stay even if he only won seven games this year.

Dissappointment, naturally. But most fans* will also realize:

1. The SEC is brutal
2. The schedule is brutal
3. Bama is just as, if not more highly, regarded as LSU

The future is too bright at LSU for most fans* to want a head coaching change. Most fans* will want Miles to reload for 2012, which could have an even better team.

Mac left cause after having his program NR 9 times from 1962 to 1973, it was never NR again under his direction. imo

Well said!

The SEC was established in 1932 and since that time LSU has earned 10 titles in football and Miles got the last one in 07.
