Now that GOT is over; anything new from HBO to be coming out soon?

Aaron Sorkin is developing a new show about the goings-on at a 24-hour news channel. i think Bill Pullman is set to star. no release date though.

suppose that story doesn't help much,

Tom Hanks is producing a series based on Neil Gaiman's American Gods. Don't think it'll show up till 2013 though.

He should bring Studio 60 back instead. Sorkin has an unhealthy obsession with showing us the plight of the journalist.

Curb Your Enthusiasm and Entourage are coming back soon.

Also, Chris Lilley's Angry Boys will be making an appearance sometime this year

The Interwebz went nuts earlier this week about the amount of money they want to spend on the American Gods series. I haven't read it, but my friend has and he likes it.

I'm excited about anything Chris Lilley is bringing to us. Summer Heights High really is genius work.

not to hi-jack, but did Hung get canned? I've seen them advertising True Blood & Entourage.

It's called "More As This Story Develops", I was excited until I found out Olivia Munn is in it. Don't get me wrong, she's nice to look at but an AWFUL actress.

I'm hoping the third season of Hung will be better than the second. First season was good I thought. As for "How to Make it in America", I thought it was awful. How this got renewed for another season is beyond comprehension.

I really liked How to Make it in America.

I just wish HOB was quicker with producing seasons. Waiting a whole year can be rough.

To Appomatox, if it makes it past pre production, will hopefully be a 2013 release at the earliest...so don't hold your bref'

I love Sorkin but the series was painful. It was clear he wished he still had West Wing to beat up conservatives with. Trying to promote your beliefs on a SNL show simply wasn't entertaining even though I loved the whole cast and West Wing is probably close to my all time fav show.

I just don't think it ever recaptured the magic of the first few brilliant episodes.

I also thought it was fair to all points of view, as with anything Sorkin does. He has surrogates for his beliefs, sure, but he always writes strong dissenting characters to keep them in check. One of the problems with the show was that Sorkin is not a sketch writer, and the show-within-show material was pretty banal. He also seemed to run out of ideas around mid-season and started trying to make it into a "Love in the show business" soap opera.
