Crowton's problem was he couldnt develop a QB worth a shite. He inherited a 5th year senior who was already fully developed in his first year then Jefferson regressed under his watch. The drop in Jefferson's performance from 2009 to 2010 was staggering.

Do you truly believe those three team's offenses were better than LSU's?

I feel like it was the inability to coach up the qb that was the reason the offense didn't produce. Cause offense was the problem when we had J.Russell,Matt Flynn. I feel like the qbs weren't get the job done. It's a new season hopefully jefferson can play to his full abilities.

That's my point. On 3rd and 8 with JJ in the shotgun, what the hell do you think we're going to do?

RR and the tight ends will have a friggin hole the size of Alaska in the middle of the defense if we use play-action. Especially with the threat of our running attack.

So the good years offensively we had were also a result of Miles calling plays? Thank god. I'm with what's his face that said it has been Qb development under Crowton that hurt us. Specifically getting the Qbs ready for games. I mean at practice they are lights out (JJ).

crowton can blame whomever but his playcalling in 2008 gave reason for his decision making to be called into question

If Crowton was in a press box, and communicating with Miles via headset, then how do the players know this?

And i'm pretty sure the tally was brought up during a staff meeting, one that players wouldn't be at.

If you said a coach or GA said this, it would be more believable.

To add to this frustration, Jefferson had a much better running game and offensive line in 2010 than 2009. His regression made absolutely no sense.

I heard that every time Miles changed the play it was because Crowton called an option to the short side.

It's gonna be so freaking hilarious when LSU runs that play at least 2x times a game and people like you will start to blame Krag. and never once think Miles called it.

Well, it's not like Crowton has a documented history of annually diminishing performance for his offenses.

Oh, wait ...

I went to a coaching clinic in March that Stud spoke at, he said they check to the option at the line whenever they are in a bad running play vs. a defensive formation.

Which results in the questions: Was it JJ or the system? Was it Crowton or Miles?
The passing game was largely ineffective and this left fans searching for answers.

Miles was on record for defending the option to the short side and the effect it has on the defense. However, the part that most have with the philosophy is that the short-side options has been largely ineffective. Does the indirect benefits of the system justify running a futile play? The coaches seem to think so.
