There is no evidence to support that claim, and it doesn't matter anyway since he couldn't get on base.

you obviously dont follow college baseball much. We do this every single year.

I very much don't. I mean, I try to follow LSU baseball as much as I can, but living in Florida, and the fact that college ball doesn't get that much coverage in the first place, I am very much out of the loop.

I don't see how Bourgeois makes the team.

Trey is a good kid. He will do fine and carry on. He did well for us in 2010, but 2011, not so much. We have to make room for CWS caliber players.

I'd be surprised if he did.

This sucks for Trey, though. All his pictures on facebook are baseball ones, and it looks like he has a lot of fans that know him.

But you have to hit that ball.

can he sign with a new team and play right away or does he have to sit out a year?

he should not have cut him; he should have moved him to number 9 in the order. if their is somebody on the team that is a better lf, then why wasn't he already playing in front of him and if not, then with whom is he so certain he is going to replace him?

I don't understand why he was playing so much the last few weeks of the season. It's not PM just woke up this morning and said "I think I'll cut Trey Watkins today"

It was plain to see that no one on this team was really hitting well this season until it was too late. Even then we had trouble hitting. He's possibly the best base runner in CBB right now. I would replaced the batting coach and given him one more shot

Glad we're not paying you to coach the team...

Maybe CPM gave him a choice b/t bench player or walking papers. I hope this was the case. I agree he should be removed from the everyday lineup, but he wouldve been a great guy to have on the bench

Please explain what is unethical about cutting someone from the team?

I wont say its totally unethical, but he thought enough of the kid to start him for a good part of 2 years. And he is going into his SR year with no school(obviously he'll find one, but still).

and he'll no doubt waste a roster spot on Terrance Magee who will prob play in 7 games all year.

Watkins has a lot of potential. I guess instead of trying to coach him and make him better you cut ties totally?

really, would it be so hard to cut down that horrendous hitch in his swing and improve his contact rate? and hit him some flyballs in the OF?
