I don't shite in the woods, but I reckon if I did I'd squat like a girl.

I prefer the "semi-side saddle" technique whenever possible and time allows, for finding the exact, right height horse..
Other methods inclue, tree in the back, log in the back, forked bottom trees, and in a pinch, the old sapling in the front,,, one that bends, alot.

I bought one of those $5 toilet seats on a stool at Academy. That thing is a life saver. Our camp doesn't have running water.

If you walk in the woods around our campsite towards the end of the season, it's like a mine field.

I like the sapling in the front technique best, but its def a gametime decision.

On another note, if any noobs are utilizing this thread for learning purposes, be very careful when wearing coveralls.

Had the closest time of shitting in my pants because I was 20 feet high in a climber and had cover alls on. I made it to about 5 feet from the ground and nearly ripped them off me and propped my arse on the side of the climber.

This is how my buddy's lease is as well. Looks like it snowed with all the TP in the grass. I have to admit it is pretty damn peaceful shitting out in the open on a cold clear night

I have to find the perfect, downed tree, about 2 feet off the ground, with a fork.

Hang my arse between the forks, place hands on the fork behind me to brace.

Sometimes you will find that uber perfect tree where the back fork is higher than the other fork, which makes for a perfect toilet seat.

I've almost shite my pants on hundreds of occasions because I refuse to squat in the woods. I like to shite in comfort.

It's perfect really. Be really careful walking around the Bayou Cocodrie parking lot at Brooke's Brake in Dec/Jan. It's pretty much an every morning event.

I've got a shy colon sometimes. Last time I tried to shite in the woods I was leaning against a tree on the bank of Caddo Lake. Managed to squeeze out a few torpedos, then looked up at the sapling in front of me and there was damn snake coiled in the branches just watching me. Literally had a shite and run experience.
