Kid really had it his freshmen year, and somewhere along the way, he just became our next Lane Mestepay without the injuries

Did he give up the 11 runs today or something?

He's given up enough hard hits over his last 3 or so outings

Or Clay Dirks

Just no pop on the fastball, hanging fat sliders, and just getting ripped

Maybe one good outing gets him back on track, but he might be done. He's an enormous liability right now.

I was against changing closers after Friday, but you really have to try something else now.....its become too much of a liability. Maybe try him out in a midweek starting role or something.

That's kinda unkind to Mestepey, isn't it?

To let Ott pitch in a stress free situation.

Getting Ott right is way more important than this game.

I hope he gets it back.
If not, an LSU degree with a CWS Ring isn't too bad of a deal.
Again, I'm hoping it's just a mid-year slump.

Obviously because he had retired the last 8 batters because that makes sense...

I'm actually thinking Eades gets the shot at closing.

He's been getting hit HARD. Hopefully he can get everything worked out. Hate it for the team and for him.

I like Berry as the inning ender, Peterson kinda shite the bed in that role tonight. Dykstra could be the closer, he's doing really well in middle relief. Maybe they should move Broussard to mid-week starter and try Tyler Jones in relief.
