So what's the difference between a 2 hour round trip driving a car and a 3 hour round trip ride in a private jet?

the point being that SP maximizes Brees' talent...SP also is a great evaluator of talent and has put together the best scouting team in the NFL
Payton doesnt run the Saints scouting department.

You all are making too much of a big deal about this. He has the kind of money now that his family can choose to live in a better place for them. More power to them.

They were not living in N.O., so it means little in the "PR" department as far as I am concerned. At the end of the day it could end up helping him be a better coach as he will be able to devote all of his time and energy to coaching during the season without having the wife and kids around.

What is the cost of a daily roundtrip from Dallas to New Orleans on a private jet. I know SP makes good cash, but damn, this would drain any personal bank account fairly quickly.

It blows my mind the ignorance that is said on this board sometimes. Who gives a F where this dudes wife and kids live??? Really??? All we need to care about is W's and L's. I like SP a lot and it was cool to say he lived in Mandeville where I live. But none of us know the actual details of this situation. So to come on a message board and drill this dude for this is crazy.

Facts:
He is still the Saints Head Coach
He is the Best HC we've ever had
He turned this franchise around
He is an awesome guy and loves this organization
finally and most important,
He won us our only Superbowl!!!!!!

His family should've tried getting away from the fricking Northshore and move into the actual city in a neighborhood like the Brees' moved in to

yeah where you can walk six blocks the wrong way and disappear forever...

I'd rather him live in NOLA, but as long he keeps doing the same job it's really not that big of a deal. I know he is paid but it seems like that new hood is out of his league.

I'm blaming the fricking construction work off the causeway bridge. Payton obviously wanted no part of this damn traffic.

frick me, not a problem.

In any case:

Facts:
He never really wanted to live here
Now he won't live here
His bullshite rebuilding lines may have worked with Drew but sure as frick didn't get anywhere with wife.

because he doesn't deserve props in that regard. Sean Payton saved his job. He'll even tell you that. He didn't go from some bean counter to a great talent evaluator over night. The big common denominator in the whole transition of the Saints is Sean Payton.

This seems like much ado about nothing, IMO.

Not much difference between a 1.5 hour commute and a 1 hour commute. I guess it would be nice if he lived here, hell I wish he lived at the practice facility.

As long as he does his job and does it well, I don't care where he lives. This does seem odd though.

Holy shite that's a nice area he's moving to.

Maybe we're jumping to some conclusions. Gregg Williams' family lives in TEN.

Dungy did it for what? 9 years with his family in Tampa and he in Indy (Cue son comments).

It's really not a big deal. He'll make a statement, say the right things, and everyone will be fine with it.

if it starts to affect his job, then we'll have a problem. At this point, we dont even know how much time he will spend in Dallas. I cant see him flying in to NOLA every day
