My friend's husband has been missing in N. LA since Dec 21. He's the one on the right (beard) in the photo. They've been doing air and ground searches in the woods and swamps in the area. If you have any information, please contact the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office. Thanks.

Was he out hunting or fishing? Does he have medical problems?

prayers sent, what was he doing when he went missing?

What is the deal here? I was in Ouachita Parish all weekend and have not heard of this until now. Nothing on Monroe's award winning newspaper either.
More details and this board could be of some assistance. Lots of folks on here hunt the woods of this area.

Search missing man on newsstar. It doesn't say much but it is there. Doesn't seem that this is outdoor related. Fellow left work "sick" and has not been seen since.

I just got the news on Facebook from his wife Shari. Apparently the NewsStar just decided to print a short article today, but he's been missing since the 21st. His name is Ken Emory and they live in Monroe, but I'm not sure exactly where in town. I've emailed for more details and will post when I get them. Apparently he left work, feeling sick, at midnight. His wife found the car in the driveway the next morning, with wallet, keys, etc still there. No history of any problems. They've been searching the area on foot, 4-wheelers and by air, in the woods and swamps near their home. The OP Sheriff is organizing the search parties if you can help.
I know this isn't technically "outdoor" but they're searching woods and swamp, so I thought I'd put out the word to outdoorsmen in the region to be on the lookout.

His wife has had a post on f/b, and CELA has had an aricle on the sherriffs home page, but as usual The News Star is way behind the times, to date, 2 days of ariel searches, 2 days of ground searches includung the use of dogs have been conducted without success, the searches will resume in the morning, you may volunteer to help by calling OPSO for meeting places and areas being searched. Unortuately, with temps dipping below freezing these past 2 nights, the outlook is grim, however miracles do occur and the family needs answers either way. We continue to pray for a safe return of Mr. Emory and pray for the family to have strength, love and pesce during this trial. God Bless each family member, friend, and rescue worker involved in this search
Gatorlady1's comments yesterday on the award winning local daily from Monroe. I had to search hard for the story, but located it nonetheless. I am surprised no word was mentioned on the local radio stations and such this weekend. Word spreads like wild fire in those parts, which surprises me that the story is taking so long to get out.
Prayers sent.

I didn't mean to sound as if it wasn't important. I was trying to clarify that it didn't look to be a lost hunter or such.
Let's hope for the best.

I understand. When I first heard, I was hoping he was out hunting. I did find out they live outside West Monroe, but don't know the exact location yet.

Foul play? Depressed?

The resources here on the OD are limitless. After all, Green Jeans and Wop Head Dolly were identified in no time.

does he have any large gambling debts?

I'm not a very good "searcher", but, I still don't see anything in the paper, yesterday or today.. Anybody else see anything, re: address, area, etc.?

I had to go to thenewsstar.com and enter "missing man" in the serach block on the top right side of the home screen. Next, you have to sequence the dates from everything since 2008 with the words missing or man in it. Organize the search by latest topic. It will then show you the 4 line paragraph which basically states everything gritsbabe said in the OP. I also read a hard copy of Sunday's daily from front to back and never saw this story. Hence my comments of the award winning newspaper. TNS is an absolute joke.
