Sounds like a lifetime movie in the making

If he left his chompers behind, then he obviously doesn't want to be found. However once they locate him living elsewhere with another family in another town, he should have to reimburse the fellow citizens of Ouachita Parish for the money and time spent hunting his disappering cookoo arse.
I hope this is not the case, but signs are pointing towards something of this nature.

Agian I am in no way trying to make light of this man missing, but this is exactly what people here are talking about. The family and friends are devastated and fear the worst, while many others think he chose to leave.
For the record agian, if i ever joked about a conspiracy theory or gave the impression I would, could, or wanted to dissappear,,,I was telling a story or lying. I still get lost at walmart, and am probably wholely uncapable of "disappearing" on my own. If I ever turn up missing I am probably dead in a ditch somewhere so please look for me.

but then agian there are signs that he would not have, like leaving false teeth behind
if i wanted to disappear i would make it look suspicious. the best way to disappear is to be assumed dead. a financial advisor in st francisville did this a long time ago when shite went south for him, there was a funeral and everything. he showed back up 10 or so years later, had been living it up in Mexico the whole time. his wife already remarried and kids moved on, dont really talk to him. i always wondered why come back.

Really?? How does the legality of a situation like that work? Does he live in the same town as before?

He wasn't a financial advisor. He just told people he was. Found him in Lafayette.

This story was told to me by a friend who was a really good friend of the guys son. i used the term financial advisor bc that is what my friend telling me the story made it sound like he was. he did go to south america for a long time and came back. there were no legal ramifications for his actions when he came back from what i understand. and when he came back he reached out to his 'old' family and was shunned.
