of the "Who DAT Nation?" Every chance he gets, he's spouting off this shite. IMO, one can never wear that title if you've accepted a check from the enemy. Bobby just leave that shite alone and be a fan.

No. That's just a WWL tag line, nothing else.

Buddy D gets my vote.

I do believe he was the one to make the name popular. I believe it was ESPN who interviewed him years ago and he made the comment about the "Who Dat Nation"

Well I know that Southern's fan base is known as the jaguar nation. I'm thinking thats where it came from.

I've heard him say that after the Cowboys game in 2006, the post game show got more calls than ever from around the country and that's when he keyed the phrase.

This is correct. Ive heard Mike Detiller and Bobby speak on it a couple times. They mess with Bobby because he should he didnt patent the phrase. I think someone from Europe even called that night.

No, he's not. Not after he did his little fruity airplane celebration when his Falcons beat us. F him. He'll say what ever the people paying his salary want him to say. He was all about the Falcons soon after he retired.

No. I always hated hearing that. I don't mind the "Who Dat Nation" moniker so much as I do hearing about Bobby being some "founding father".

I mean, I get it. He's a fan and he had to paid so played for Atlanta. But not the original or Saints super fan as he portrays himself to be.

All that said, Bobby's cool. A bit loopy, but he doesn't bother me.

In the late mid to late eighties I joined what was then called the Who Dat Fan club. In the package was a diploma signed by Archie Manning. I think that predates Bobby Hebert. He was still dreaming of playing for the Falcons back then.

Some people on here are confusing Founding Father of "who dat nation" with Founding Father of Saints fandom in general. I think the question was whether he was the founding father of the "who dat nation". The answer to that is yes because he was the one who coined the phrase. This is not to suggest that he was like the first fan of the saints or some shite, which is something he doesnt profess to be.

And this

In 1990, he held out for more money. Therefore, Saints GM Jim Finks traded away several draft choices for Steve Walsh.

Everytime a rookie holds out for money he goes rambling about how the player shouldn't be doing that. When he did it himself. Dudes a hypocrite and a turd furgerson. I miss Buddy D.

And as Buddy pointed out, Finks tried to frick Hebert over. And nobody forced Finks to make the worst deal in NFL history.

You can dis Bobby for a lot of things, but not that.
