Texas fired one of arguably the best OC's in college football, why not LSU? I know Texas is not bowling this year so it doesn't matter about the rime frame for those guys, but my GOD I think somebody will assassinate the AD and Miles if something is not done in the offseason!!

And Texas doesn't have a bowl game to practice for.

Perhaps Miles wants to wait until the bowl game...he probably already has somebody in mind...wants to create a facade of stability for recruits...Shorthorns can do what they want, they are done for the year...they've already turned in their pads and helmets!

We did not go 10-2 this season thanks to Crowton's offense, which finished ranked 93rd in the nation. If anything, it's in spite of it. You need to thank the Defense, Special Teams, and a bit of good fortune.

I understand why we have not made the move yet, we don't even know that a move will be made but to clear up my post if LSU sticks with crowton and a 90+ ranked offense we are just saying we will settle for mediocricy on that side of the football. If the other "so called" big boys can make moves when something goes wrong why can't we?

This makes no sense really.

Only helps in the court of public opinion.

They are one year removed from having the best QB and possibly offense in Texas history.

yes they struggled. But it was a little early to pull the trigger.

you should take your own advice.

you answered it right there brah. Greg Davis wasn't the reason those teams were good.

No one with fricking common sense considers GD to be one of the best offensive minds. If you disagree please provide a link that shows someone other than a message board poster who thinks the way you think

TIA

Hmm???

quote:

No decision has been made regarding the fate of Texas coordinator Greg Davis, a Texas program source told The Dallas Morning News Thursday.

The source told the Morning News that head coach Mack Brown continues his postseason evaluation regarding the 5-7 disapointment of a season. And, the source emphasized, no calls have been made about who goes, including Davis, Brown’s offensive coordinator at Texas since his arrival in 1998.

Davis has been a survivor. His firing was reported after the 2003 season.

Don’t expect breaking news. No staff announcements are planned today according to the source.
