I'm not as mad about his play at the half, it wasn't a smart play, but a forgivable brain fart. I'm more angry about his half assed effort to make a tackle on Arkansas' first big play. That IMO was a much more unforgivable offense. He should have been benched right there.

He took a bad angle on the first play.
His arse was probably torn into by the coaches for it.
Causing him to be over aggressive the second play.

What about the half-assed interception attempt that he treated like a practice rep instead of actually trying to catch the ball?

Every time our defense gives up a big play Karnell Hatcher is right in the middle of it. Meanwhile, what has Stefon Francois done all year? I don't know if I've seen him make a positive play all year.

I put the last play of the 1st half on Chavis more than Hatcher, the fact that it was 1 safety away from breaking it is pretty unforgiveable

On the last play of the first half, Eric Reid was the safety on the left hash and jumped the short route, which opened up the lane for the throw. We know what happened next and while Hatcher should have made the play, our superstar true freshman was trying to be a hero instead of sitting back and keeping the play in front of him. I don't think anyone wants to get rid of Reid, so just relax and let them all grow up

Let me see if I have this right.
I'm irrational but being an experienced college secondary coach and ex-defensive coordinator you are better able to judge when to bench a player than the coaches who work with him every day?

I have never seen hatcher come up and wrap up a ball carrier - bad quality for a Safety to have. he has to learn to wrap up and quit going for the big hit everytime.
