Finances will eventually force LSU athletics into the role played by Miss. State and Ole Miss right now. We will be at the bottom of the barrel within 5 years.

We brought the full band to UNC.

MSU didn't bring their full band to Baton Rouge.

I think they need to put on better shows. West Virginia kicked our arse at the half.

I suppose my point is that things (budgets) over at bama, au, tenn, fla, uga ect must not be as bad as here in the great state of Louisiana.

I remember for the Rose Bowl in 2006 when we thought we were going a friend of mine who is in charge of travel plans for LSU atheltics told me it was going to cost $300,000 to take the band! And i believe to Auburn it costs $65,000. But another reason is that for every seat that a band member doesnt take is a paying season ticket holder or someone paying for a ticket.

MSU can't afford home and home games with CUSA teams. They traveled to Houston this year.

This...LSU only gets x amount of tickets for road games. The more seats the band takes up, the less for the season ticket holders.

Besides, there are plenty of games when a road team's pep band comes to LSU.

or we have things that may require millions of dollars to buyout in the near future? Save alittle on the band now for a new coach later? Maybe that seems to possily make to much sense though.

I think this all comes out of the bowl payout.. which varies (money wise) from year to year depening on which bowl you make and also its all split amongst the conf anyways.

They might have, but most only bring the full band to one game a year like LSU.
