Maybe so.. but i doubt a "sea of blue" will occur.... More like sprinkles then a blob in the lower section of the southeast corner

You obviously have't been seeing all the LSU season ticket holders getting top dollar from McNeese fans fron all the ticket exchanges. We have a crew of 10 heading to the game and will be tailgaitin' all day...

Meh, I didn't care about LSU until I became a student here, and they're still second to McNeese. But, I understand the appeal. LSU really is a great school, which is why it doesn't bother me when McNeese students cheer for LSU or even cheer for them over McNeese.

I will be wearing blue for the game. This will be the only game I ever cheer against LSU. Hell I spent 2 weeks in Omaha in 09 at the CWS and then been to both BCS nat'l champtionship games. I'm a big LSU fan, but just a die-hard McNeese fan mostly because I grew up next to MSU and then was a student worker in the athletic dept for a few years.

Yes maybe sprinkles. Tiger Stadium is so massive, they will not likely be noticed. I went to a Tulane/SLU game in 2005(Katrina). There were 30000 at that game and it seemed like the stadium was empty. So even if you have about 20 or 30000 it will be far from a sea of blue.

McNeese makes the ugliest shirts. Whoever designs them should be fired.

I have had season tickets to LSU for 15 years but I graduated from McNeese. Never thought I would have to choose one over the other in a game since we do not compete for the same goal. So I decided for this game I would cheer for both. Although I am 99% certain of the outcome, i hope McNeese is represented proudly on the field. I will be wearing my McNeese shirt with my LSU hat. My 4 year old son is coming to the game and he is wearing his LSU wind pants with his McNeese jersey. If you go or went to McNeese there is no reason you can't suppor both schools. They do no compete for the same thing. Unlike our friends 70 miles to the east of lake charles, we do not have penis envy and are completely content with where and who we are. Those who say McNeese games are boring have obviously never been to a game. Is it near as crowded as a Saturday at Tiger Stadium? No. but it is one of the tops in Division 1-AA. I have plenty of friends that attend or attended LSU that come to the McNeese home games when LSU is away or on a Bye week. Hope everyone enjoys the game and the festivities.

Just to give another example of the hype in Lake Charles for this game, most of the kiddies soccer games and football games have been cancelled Saturday morning due to the parents going to LSU game....

I grew up going to Mcneese games every saturday with my family, went there my first year of college, then transferred to LSU. I will be wearing purple and gold, but if Mcneese has a few big plays and even a touchdown I won't hold back from cheering. Of course I don't want them to win, b/c it would only really hurt us and not them, but I have good friends on the team who are elated to play in tiger stadium saturday night. I don't see the problem with it. Mcneese fans are pretty die hard and they know they are coming to Baton Rouge for the experience, not for a win.

I dont understand the arguments that are going on. Both are good schools and have great traditions, just at different levels. Their is no problem with being a fan of both schools. Their has never been a conflict until this week with football between the two schools. McNeese and LSU both have great programs and do the state proud and fans of both should root for the other when they arent playing. I live in Dallas and never understand when fans of big 5A high schools like Southlake Carroll or Highland Park make fun of the 2A or 3A powers calling them little minons and peons. The truth is that both schools have great traditions and those fans of those 2A and 3A schools have tons of pride and are proud of their school and their towns. I think the same goes for McNeese, they know they are a smaller school and will never be a LSU, and they are fine with that. They are happy being in the FCS and have one of the best fanbases in the FCS. Both schools represent Louisiana on different levels and do a great job of representing them. I just feel bad for McNeese with all the injuries and the fact that this years team may the weakest team in 10 years. I will be rooting for a good game and no injuries. BTW for the person earlier who said MSU games are boring, he hasnt been to many. They have been voted best gameday atmosphere in the FCS and they follow LSU in being a great place to tailgate.

I like McNeese. their fans arent delusional (cough tech and ULL). They realize its fine to root for both since they both represent the state on 2 different levels.

If youre a fan of both, why not support both teams on Saturday? (Mcneese hat, LSU shirt or reverse). It makes no sense why you should have to wear all Mcneese, or all LSU, and have to pick a side. If you really love both teams, show it...just my 2 cents
