UM wasn't that great in 2007, brah

went 9-4 and beat Florida which was pretty good that year.

Ole Miss and VT? POWERHOUSES

d1aa is not supposed to beat any 1A at all. let alone a bcs team Just sayin...
All 1AA opponents aren't equal. You have a lot that are crap in comparison to 1A. But top ten could probably play with anyone and McNeese is generally ranked in there each year. We're used to winning. Teams like us always have the potential to beat a good FBS team. App St over Michigan, back when beating Michigan meant something. Jack state over Ole Miss, James Madison over Virginia Tech. The potential is there. The talent is there, and the talent gap is closing every year.
It's the offense. It'd be best to bring the coach, not the qb. Oregon's offense would be amazing at LSU because LSU gets the pick of the litter of all the Louisiana athletes. Southern athletes with this offense would be too much for anybody to handle...

I thought this thread was sarcastic (and I still think the OP was joking), but apparently some are taking this seriously. The McNeese comment was tongue-in-cheek. However, I really doubt the plan that Miles and Co had was to be up 16-10 at halftime. But, hey, at least no one has any more film of the same shite they already have of LSU.

The zone read run by Lee will be scouted and watched for.

Why is it when the team somebody cheers for is winning its always: WE would do this and WE can do that...but the minute the team starts fricking up it's always THEY couldn't do this and THEY couldn't do that?
I'm learning that nobody is better at eating their own than LSU.

You can listen to it for free on lsusports.net
I don't even like LSU that much and even I get excited when I hear the pregame. Bottom line: The band is a part of tradition. It's helps create the atmosphere. I hate when people don't pay attention to the band. I'm not a band member, I just think it really rude that people don't sit and watch the band. The band works DAMN HARD to perfect their craft. I'm not a band member but I do know that they too sacrifice a lot to do what they do. It's always pissed me off that people don't appreciate these students and their work. How fricking rude.
1. LSU starting QB couldn’t muster more than 4 yards against McNeese
2. JJ and General Lee together threw only 110 yards against McNeese. The objective going in was to get better at that and they failed. Not my words. The words of head coach les Miles. “we failed” he said.
3. 16 -10 by the half against sorry arse McNeese State
4. Nevis, even though he played the entire game, couldn’t muster one sack against McNeese. Perfect time to pad the stats. He failed.
5. LSU played all their starters through the 4th quarter and hardly got any rest for the superior Auburn.
6. McNeese rushed for over 100 yards, first time a team has done that against LSU this season. If they do it, Imagine what'S coming from Auburn. It’s going to be hell.
7. Patrick Peterson was lucky in the beginning and doesn’t have it within himself to score a punt or kickoff return against the lowly McNeese State Cowboys.
8. McNeese played their entire game with backups at the most important positions including QB and a third string RB.
9. And don’t give me any crap about LSU didn’t feel like playing. Every Saturday a BCS team faces a mediocre 1AA team and crushes them by 70. Oregon was up by 69 before the half this year.
10. Bottom Line: LSU is screwed. Good Luck. Yall Damm Sure Are Going To Need It.

I KNOW, I KNOW. GO AWAY MCNEESE FOOL, KISS MY arse, YOU SUCK, EVERYTHING TO AVOID THE FACTS ABOVE.
:geauxtigers:

Both of them will be far more productive. They actually care about this game and know that they can't play like complete shite and still win. Something they knew they could do against McNeese.

I certainly hope so. I also know they know it's a business. They don't play (or not play) for the hell of it. They all believe they have pro careers. And stat padding is apart of that process. Take a look at the replay on lsusport or spn3, LSU played hard.

But you guys might be right. I just wonder what it would have been like if McNeese had all of their starters. Our starting qb was out with injury so was our top 3 starting rb's. And many others. Just sayin. Good luck at Auburn. (just might need it)

It has been confirmed that the Tiger practiced for Auburn most of the week before the McNeese game.. That should tell you what you need to know.

If that's the case, then I expect to see JJ put up more than 4 yards against Auburn and Nevis NOT get completely shut down the whole game.
quote:

If you really think Miles or any of the coaching staff or any of the players would allow McNeese to even come close to actually defeating them you're crazy. It was basically a practice game, and everyone knows that. You're blinded.

Every other practice game starters are done by the half. It was 16-10 at half. Your starting quarterback had a total of 4 yards. His unimpressive back up nearly through 2 pick sixes. The all-world DT Nevis didn't get 1 sack and he played the whole game. Most other schools would have used this as a stat padding day. Not the tigers. Just Sayin

It is funny isn't it. Not as funny as LSU starters having to play the whole game against a 1AA opponent all the way through the middle of the 4th. And not being able to rest up for the "superior" Auburn team. that's funny
quote:

Are you trying to say LSU did NOT easily beat McNeese? And by the way a ton of under classman played in that game way before the 4th quarter.

Uh yeah. The score 16 -10 at the half. A fake field goal here and two missed pick 6's by McNeese and the score was only 25-10 with a minute to go in the game. Just sayin

from CBSsports.com It's the reason Les Miles is about to get a ride named after him at Disneyworld, "The Mad Hatter." For the price of a Tiger Stadium day pass you too can ride the ride where sometimes you get thrown off, sometimes you throw up, but you will always throw up your hands in disbelief. It is why LSU is one of 10 undefeated major-college teams left in the country. It doesn't matter how the Tigers got there.

CBS is just trying to protect its product. After the Mcneese game their headline was "LSU easily destroys McNeese State." LIE. All the starters played through the fourth and it was much closer than the final score. Miles was playing backups just so that he could say he reach some objective because his objective of passing failed. Just sayin.

I know, I know...Go away McNeese fan. You're no longer welcomed.

Why are you still here? Shouldn't you be on the McNeese's next oponents board?

I'm starting to like LSU football. I think I'm becoming a fan. Can't a die-hard cowboys fan venture out a little? Expand his horizon? Yall are some entertaining people. Dump on JJ and are begging to bring back the pick 6 king. I'm almost certain yall will be back to dumping on him soon enough as well. It's entertaining. Just sayin.

I'm a bigger McNeese fan on this board than just about anybody..... LSU's gameplan was vanilla. PERIOD.

Whaateveeer. All I know is that TWO should've been pick sixes and both were thrown by LSU golden boy Jarrett Lee. He was lucky. Just sayin.

LSU didnt try to pass against McNeese. The gameplan was very conservative. These shitstains should actually watch a football game once in a while if they want to be an expert on it.

Actually LSU did try to pass against McNeese. In the postgame press conference, Les Miles said that that was one of the objectives going in and they failed at it. Just sayin...
You could hear it live but espn purposely edited out the boos on the replay on espn3.com
