Did anybody else know this was going to be a fake? I thought we made it pretty obvious.

Miles calls Jasper over to whisper in his ear, and then Jasper whispers into the ear of the holder.

How did Florida not pick up on that?

I was yelling at the TV, "it's a fake, it's a fake."

6 and freaking O, baby!!!

I thought about a fake when I saw him whisper in Helton's ear.

Les did say in 2007 that it would be a few years before we see that play again.

The stadium noise was really really loud. I don't think anyone was whispering.

The whisper made it so abvious it was going to be a fake that Meyers figured it was bluff and decided to try the block FG.

When I saw jasper whisper in the holders ear, then look up and pray before they snapped it I knew something was up...what a play

Anytime you call a time-out before a field goal it's a must to come out in a safe coverage. Florida wanted to try for the block instead. We got lucky it bounced to us though. Terrible throw.

You take away their kickoff return, our fumbled punt return and the interception and the game is ours. We still have too many mistakes that give up field position and keep our defense out there too long.

I've been saying that every FG attempt since 07. I knew one day I'd finally be right.

Running down the clock was a good strategy though. Why run down the clock to call a T.O. if you are gonna fake it?

Yeah, I wondered if the rest of the team knew. I was thinking that our edge guy didn't hold that block very long. Maybe he didn't think he needed too.

I thought it was pretty poor coaching by Meyer. If the kid hits a 53 yarder to force an overtime, so be it.

You play safe in that situation.

Yeah, it was more of a "whisper."

That whole fiasco was such a terrible call. Miles is such a lucky SOB. People are happy now, but if Jasper gets stopped, can't recover the bounce, or the play gets overturned, this place would have been in full melt down mode.

Yet Miles knew damn good and well what Meyer was going to do. Hell of a call because it was within JJ's range --- but barely.

I had no clue.
i was so wrapped up in the time management aspect of it and the field possesion that I never really thought of it as an option.
i'm usually all over it, but this one caught me dead.

What was the "right" call? There is at most a 50% chance he makes that and at most a 50% chance we win in OT. We had about a 20% chance of winning (or less) if we kick the FG.

The fake was poorly executed and we still got a first down. If executed correctly, Jasper was wide open and would have gotten 20 yards easy. That sets up a chip shot if we don't get any more yards (Which we did of course).

Fla. was not all in for the block.

They had two guys staying back.

And the play was essentially covered.

Jasper made a great cutback and got the yards.

It could have been a bigger play if Clement got the block. but MIles saying that Jasper would have scored if he caught the ball was off.

Yeah, I thought I saw Jasper do a sign of the cross before the play started.

So our runt place kicker can catch a ball off of a bounce and still outrun Florida's cornerbacks???

I was SOOOOO obvious, that I figured they would never actually try it.

But then I figured 'this is les,' and said 'oh shite here it comes.'

Could not believe UF was not ready for it - figured a six yard loss.
