Les Miles v. Ed Orgeron

Miles and Orgeron are very similar as coaches. Both are inarticuate baffoons that recruit well and don't have a prayer on gameday. Orgeron may cheat more than Miles, but Miles has his own NCAA record. Miles obviously has more advantages than Orgeron had at Ole Miss.
As far as coaching mistakes, which is worse:
1. Orgeron once had his team flagged for delay of game because they did not get out of the tunnel in time to start the second half.
2. Miles on Saturday.
I'm really torn here.

56-15, Miles seems to have a few things go his way on gameday.

Sorry dude but you have failed. Coach O was winless in the SEC with all that talent he recruited.

Alright...who's alter is this?

Guys, I am not trying to flame, sorry if it came across that way. I was simply attempting to point out the only worse clock managment error I could think of in recent years.
Yes, Les Miles is a better coach than Ed Orgeron. And someone is always the smartest in a class full of morons.

Dude, I can see you just left an "l" off of inarticulate, but damn if you are going to call someone a bufoon, please learn to spell it as it calls your credibility and intellect into question, just as your OP did. In the hundreds of times this past week of every calling Miles a "bafoon" I've only seen it spelled correctly once.

Don't be flatter yourself. You are no way the smartest.
Did you set up this alter just to post this? Come on man. Haven't you posted enough foolishness under your original screen name?
I really have little patience with you negative types that start your post with a flame disclaimer and then proceed to do just that. Why bother? You are going to flame, at least show some intellectual honesty and not act like you aren't.
To compare Miles with Orgeron is absolutely childish and shows that you are running out of mental ammunition.

Im in minority cause i actually like Miles. I think he's perfect coach for LSU. You would think he was a coonass if he wasnt from Ohio.
In my opinion Miles has only two flaws
1) He loses focus during games pondering on penalties, turnovers and that doesnt allow him to focus on game management. He doesnt let things go.
2) His trust in coach Stud as a advisor on the field is costing us. IF he would just allow Crowton and Gonzalez run things like he does with Chavis. We wouldnt be having all these issues. A head coach's biggest mistake is trying to show how smart he is. Him trying to over take the offense because "he can" is hurting them.

Then maybe you should watch more football. Last year against Nebraska, Texas ran a pass play with just a few secoonds left in the game when all they needed was a field goal to win (exactly like the LSU vs Auburn game in 07). The pass went out of bounds and the refs stoppped the clock with one second left. Texas kicked the field goal to win the game and went on to make it to the national championship game. The only difference between that and the Auburn game was that our quaterback completed the pass for a touchdown to win the game and we didn't have to kick the field goal. But do you hear pepole calling Mack Brown a baffoon like they do Miles? Texas recruiting classes have been as good as or better than LSU's over the last 5 years and they have lost two games already this year one to UCLA at home - are you kidding me! Don't hear the national media saying what an idiot he is and that he is overpaid or needs to be fired. That because Texas has true fans not the bandwagon fans LSU has that support there team or coach only when things are going perfect.

The only difference I see between the two is one inherited a national championship program, the other inherited a runt.

All the time.
ETA: And it was the Nebraska game, not Oklahoma.

how many games did orgeron win? i think he went 2 consecutive yrs where he lost all of his sec games. your comparison is so bad it's ridiculous. your bias against an individual is infecting your brain mechanics.

seinfeldtiger, whaaaaaa? do you have any substantiation of this? first i've heard anyone announce Stud's prominent sideline role! i've heard that maybe miles is interfering with the offense but your statement hints that you know something or your pulling this stuff out of your arse. FESS UP. we got enquiring minds and A NEED TO KNOW.

Brown and Texas against Nebraska last year come to mind. Poor clock management is not that uncommon in the FBS. You only tend to hear about it when it happens to one of the big boys, like LSU or Texas. Two years in a row(I still don't count Auburn '07 because there were 3 or 4 seconds when Byrd caught the ball, not just 1)does tend to be troubling. The good news is it will probably be the ultimate clock mismanagement issue of the year and the Tigers still won the game.
