Any dude that rides around with a Barbie tied to his bike probably doesn't worry much about a monkey on his back. But that's just my perspective.

Okay. I have a confession. Have been on a plateau too despite having never cheated, and I am starting to get discouraged. I have 9 more pounds to goal.

You're SO close. Don't give up now!

I may have lost 40 lbs but I still have about 100 more to go, so hitting a plateau here is very discouraging (although upon reflection I wouldn't call it a plateau anymore).

Me and CAD will be your personal cheerleaders!

Thanks, Hulk. I'm going out to mow the lawn for three hours.

Now, we need to find you a couple of friends over there. We can't have you being depressed. That leads back to eating for comfort. Take your dog out for walks in a park. Chicks love dogs!

I would, but I wouldn't want to make all the ladies in this thread excited

Yeah, I understand. But I've seen biking women. Like runners, just not my look.

The look is one thing. But lots of people that are into a specific thing are often a bit obsessive for me.

(the edit was to soften the tone. I was in a hurry earlier and it came across a bit harsh)

new low. CAD method of diet and no exercise helped me bust nonplateau. Non-cheat weekend also helps. new target is motivating as is Destin next week.

H, hang in there.

took me a few hours to catch up from last post.

CAD, showing your "Barbie" has worked well for you.

It felt good when I looked at the scale today and saw that I had lost 20lbs since March.

Hulk: Thanks for the Linda's low carb website, it definitely has brought some variety to my dinners!

No problemo my friend. I need to start using it again. I was enjoying the hell out of my diet when I was eating those recipes. The food is actually really freakin' good.

eta

Someone in the office just brought in Chinese food. I would kill for some General Tso's chicken right now

Wow, I took off work Friday and just got back in today. The sad thing is that it took me as long to get caught up in this thread as it will at work. You folks have been posting like crazy since my last post.

Congrats to everyone on the losses.
Welcome aboard to thye new folks.
Hang in there to those on nonplateaus.
Congrats to CAD on the 6th place finish.

Sorry if I missed anyone.

By the way, I wrapped up phase I of my diet Friday morning. I started Atkins on 3/9/11 at 265 lbs, and finished that phase on 5/27/11 at 230 lbs. I never really got into a regular exercise routine during that phase.

I took off friday-Monday and was at 233 this morning. I expected the gain, so no big deal.

Today, I started Phase II, the Weight Watchers phase, to take advantage of all of the wonderful summertime fresh fruits and veggies. I'll be monitoring closely and will jump back to Atkins if I don't like the results. I know I need to be more consistent with exercise in this phase.

Good luck to all.

Moving in the wrong direction. I've been an eating machine the last few days. At least it was extra chicken and salad and not Taco Bell.
