The only touchdown LSU's offense produced came at the end of a 7-yard drive and required a fourth-down gamble to get the score.

Thus the pouting accusations when he was benched.

Crap. You've done it now. Just Me's "JJ defender" warning light just went on in his nother's basement.

Not a single play to a tight end. I don't understand that.

Could it be that if Jefferson gets benched, he quits the team and leaves LSU with one scholly QB with experience for 2011 in Lee?

I just read the article, and it says the following about Jefferson:
quote:

He was visibly not happy with being benched. He was summoned to the sidelines from the bench to watch Jarrett Lee's one series.

I noticed that too. Jefferson seems to have a very thin skin. And it may be the only plausible explanation as to why Miles is being so stubborn on this when it could cost him the team, and the season, and a real shot at an SEC title and maybe a national title.

The INT that was almost returned for a TD was thrown to Peterson...who was double covered. JJ was gonna throw to him no matter what...

Alfred Blue was mentioned 8 times in that game summary. 7 times were negative, 1 time was neutral.

Add this to his 2 fumbles.

Now someone tell me why again this true freshman is playing above a redshirt freshman who by all accounts is more talented?

Not hating on Blue, who after all is a true freshman that was not expected to make early contributions, but doesn't Blue's actual play on the field make it seem even more strange that Ford hasn't gotten any time?

You had me until that point...

You can not operate out of fear of what someone will do if you make a tough decision. You do what you think is best then move on from there. If Miles really feels this way than that adds one more reason that he may not be the right man for this job.

I obviously haven't seen the same film this guy does, but if he's accurate, Blue playing without Ford getting a chance seems more and more inexcusable. Lots of mistakes by Blue it seems.

If Jefferson's play wouldn't be so awful (and it is awful), then many more people would be complaining about Blue. It's just one more mind boggling decision...

Jefferson stared him down on one play which nearly got Peterson killed by the WVU defender....

90% of the Boos were directed at the coaching staff, NOT JJ. Miles needs to step up and deflect this for the players. Saban did this at halftime of the 2001 Ole Miss game. When asked about the Boos, he said "I hope those are directed at me and not the players, I'm the paid professional." Say what you want about the man, but 95% of the time Lil' Nicky got it right.

Disagree. Jefferson was the target after his terrible pass in the 4th quarter that bounced 5 yards in front of the receiver.

The writer opens up by showing his bias for JJ. No point in reading after that, as you know you're going to get a very one dimensional look. ".. who didn't deserve it." then the following paragraph goes to explain how he had yet another one of the worst performances of his career, regardless of drops. What a moron.

True, but that was the only time I saw where they were directed at him specifically. Much earlier, they started with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th option plays. They started with the lack of creativity in the red zone. They actually cheered him when he performed. Based on this, they were substantially directed towards Miles and Crowton.
