NFL lockout is now almost a guarantee via twitter posts from multiple NFL players for the 2011 season.

With that said, Why would PP forego his last year of eligibility to play in a league that is sitting out a year?

Sucks to be the rest of the SEC

I agree with you, the only issue is there may not be any decision before the early entry deadline..So, those draft eligible guys have a tough decision to make.

Are you this naive? These types of situations always have stories come out about how a deal isn't going to get done, guaranteed. Its posturing. 99% of the time these deals get done at the last minute. Just like the deal with the local BR channel's months ago and the blue cross deal with the Lady of the Lake.

this from a post on saints talk. BTW its Heath Evans FB status

Im n a NFL Players Assoc meeting. We r n a huge fight 2 play this gr8 game n 2011! Right now it looks like the NFL doesnt want us 2 play

Here is my best explanation of whats going on between the NFL & players: A)The owners r locking us out & backing out of the current aggrement between the NFL & Players. The players are not striking! We wont even b able 2go2 work next yr if we wanted to=which we do!

B)The only thing we r fighting 4 on our end is to get lifetime insurance coverage 4 our battered bodies. 4 instance my knee will not b covered w/ insurance when I need a knee replacement 20yrs from now! Bye the way those cost $250,000. Hard 2 save for that!

I hope those last 2 post help you guys realize that the players are not after money and we are not the ones causing the potential "LOCKOUT" of the 2011 season. The players love this game & we love our fans & we wont do anything to hurt our relationship between us & the greatest fans in the world......period the End!

of course they're saying it's a no go, dumbass.

do you expect them to be honest during an ongoing negotiation?

This...what happens when you go to buy a car and the dealer won't go down on the price? You threaten to walk out or you might even actually walk out. Then the dealer calls you back and says they're all of a sudden willing to negotiate. It's all bargaining position.

from reggie bush twitter

Here is one of the major issues: Did you know that as of March 2011 not one single NFL Player will have Healthcare Insurance
Healthcare is an issue that all people can relate to. And as Football Players it is the back bone of our business and life. I think people are taking this as a need for sorrow or pity? Not at all! Just educating you guys! It's always good to be knowledgable!

Lockouts have happened before whats to say it wont happen again

I call BS on the cost of a knee replacement. I'd bet it is closer to $50,000 then a quarter of a million.

Great - so when Les has to greyshirt a guy cause Peterson returns and Les oversigned we'll get all that negative crap again!
