4 instance my knee will not b covered w/ insurance when I need a knee replacement 20yrs

from now! Bye the way those cost $250,000. Hard 2 save for that!

I call BS on the cost of a knee replacement. I'd bet it is closer to $50,000 then a quarter of a million.

What difference does it make? Are we really supposed to feel sorry for the guy because on multi-million dollar salaries he can't manage to have the funds or an insurance policy 20 years from now? Sounds like he should be complaining about getting some financial advise. Oh wait, that's already available.

The point I was trying to make was he threw out a figure for a knee replacement that makes no sense to try to get sympathy from the fans. Players are using their twitter pages to get a message out to the fans so the fans feel sorry for them and support them, instead of the owners. The 250k figure will tug at someone's emotions who doesn;t fact check, goo and see that a knee replacement in closer to 50k. Now, if heath Evans wants to use some private special Dr, there are added cost that an isurance company will not pay for even if he has insurance.

I agree. The lockout is a foregone conclusion. Draft picks would go mostly unsigned for a year, so no NFL money, and no NFL playing time sounds like a good reason to hang around for another year.

the way i look at it is that if you were a junior in college and was offered a job but wouldnt be paid for it until a year into the field. The same job will be open a year from now and you will get paid from day 1 and you will have a college degree. What do you decide to do?

I would love more than anyone for PP to stay. I also do believe a lockout will happen.

However, PP will leave regardless because he'll still get drafted, he'll still get a contract, and he won't be risking injury by playing another year.

And seriously, why would he need another year? To improve his draft stock? No. The dude is a first rounder already. He has nothing left to prove. He could drop out of school today, declare for the draft, and be a top 10 pick. He doesn't need to come back another year to improve his abilities. He's amazing already, but I would love to eat crow on this issue.
