I really don't get this seniority stuff. why can't a senior be better at times?

They generally are, that is why senior laden teams have higher expectations.

Hell we bash Freshman and Soph QBs like there is no tomorrow, they are SUPPOSED to be a liability.

Well, if you let objectivity take over, you will not be able to bitch about Miles every breath.

Seniority coupled with what hes gone through at LSU granted him the opportunity to start a top the depth chart. Hes done nothing to warrant him losing his spot.

Not to mention the kid can play....

Murphy will be the best RB in the SEC.

Murphy will be #1. No doubt. Ridley #1a. No doubt. Ford #3. No doubt. I think the first two will be very good or even great. Ford ?? His poor performance in the 1 st scrimmage put him out of the rotation for several games, I believe. Last year, CS was #1, KW #2, and Murphy #3. Murphy did not see the time of day even before his injury. Why ?? #1 RB sees 50-60 % of the reps the week's prep for the upcoming game. #2 35-40 %. #3 ? next to zippo !!! Forget #4 or #5. They stand around. Another issue that Ranters know flip about. A RB can have a 6 lb run with a big hole and gets tackled by the zone LB. First contact. Miles is not happy. Another back gets stuffed at or behind the LOS and still gets 2 yds.. he loves it. Yards mean little in a scrimmage.

Ridley had two touchdowns in the scrimmage so something is wrong with that information. Ridley is also #1 on the depth chart and will be to start the season.

Maybe, but think Murphy will. He is showing some great stuff. Ridley is opening some eyes with his inside running. Ford will be fine , once he stops being a deer in the headlights. Its a lot of pressure. The kid will be good, but not right away. Sat afternoon is a big adjustment to all freshman, redshirt or not.

I guarantee Murphy gets the lions share against UNC, unless he is just awful early on.

I really don't see why Murphy can't get another year of eligibility granted to him for last year. It seems like a medical redshirt would be allowed.

Because he already used a "normal" redshirt that did not involve injury or something out of his control.

I'm not a big Murphy fan ... he's never done much with his touches, but I don't think he's gotten more then 4-6 touches in 1 game.

Ridley didn't impress last year outside of the 1 run against Alabama. He plays well against Tulane though.

Definatly not! Take my word on that.

Ridley will be #1 and Murphy #2 but I see both of them getting a ton of action. Might turn out to be the best 1-2 punch LSU has had in a while. Ford wont be a factor especially early in the year for numerous reasons.

Watch Murph in Big Cat. I think you will be surprised. Dude is tough beyond his size.

He's keeping the spot warm for Ford.

Nic Jacobs is impressive in that drill, he looks to be a beast for the future at TE.

He showed skills that could make him one hell of a down linemen. Would not be surprised to see him as a tackle in the future.

Murphy is going to dominate this year. I thought Ford would take over by mid-year. . .but I am glad that I was wrong.

Murphy has been acting a fool.

I could see that, he is very lean at 265 lbs, easily could put on 30 lbs of good weight in a few years.

I talked to Richard and depending on how this season goes, he may ask for a medical shirt.
