Does not seem very promising...seems like he still has snakes in his head from his freshman year...

Agreed, especially if you follow the title up by stating "it doesn't look very promising."

I think this guy deserves a temp-ban.

It's the big knock on Lee. He's got plenty of physical tools, but the psychological dmaage is just so great. I admire the kid ofr trying to tough it out, but when he plays, his body language speaks volumes: it looks like he has the weight of the world on his shoulders. I think he would have done best for himself to transfer just to start over. But, I do admire his grit for sticking it out - he's a true Tiger and I wish him the best.

(Please note: I don't care about the JJ v. JL debate, and this is not intended to start it - I'm just commenting on Lee's deep psychological scars)

I agree...I think he has the physical tools to be an NFL QB. However, if you don't have the proper mental approach, it is all for not. I also think that Lee is scared of physical contact. I think that is why he rushes throws and seems so nervous.

I rewatched the 2009 Bama game last night and he hardly couldn't have been worse. Man he sucked in that game.

I agree...

Looks to me like he has moved and is doing what it takes to get better.

was he worse than JJ vs fla? at home? after starting several games, not coming off the bench cold? against the not ranked number one defense?

people read what they want to into a writeup or quote based on his or her opinion of a player.
common fact on this board.

That may be true...however, with reference to me in particular, if you look back last year, I was a proponent of getting him some playing time prior to the Bama and LT games to see how he and the team reacted. I want the best player on the field for LSU at every position.

A big problem his is confidence.

He made some mistakes on the field. It has been greatly compounded by the coaches failure to stand behind him and build his confidence back up and show confidence in him. Some of Les's comments to the press has done nothing over the years but put more pressure on him and undermined his confidence.

If you make a mistake a work, you hope your boss talks to you about out and everyone moves on and your boss continues to believe in you.

If he reminds you about publicly and does not show confidence in you it will be hard to ever get passed it and build on it.

I admire his toughness and grit to hang in there, in a situation where he is talented enough to play, just has not received the mental support from those around him.

JL and JJ whoever happens to be under center at any point during the season need to have sucess... EARLY.

JJ needs a first half chick bowl performance and JL needs a seond half au game performance.
For 4 quarters.

Also, some of his teammates publicly threw him under the bus. *cough* Byrd *cough*.

Lee got it from all sides: his teammates, his coaches, and the fans.

Truth hurts!

PS: I knew you would be pissed. Nevertheless, don't believe me? Go watch the 4th quarter of that game.

because you choose not to.

J. Lee is done. . .since 2008.

JJ is the man, then Zach (knock on wood) when JJ leaves.

JL will keep the #2 chair warm until Zach is all set, and for that I thank him.
