They're coming. After 2006 I saw a lot of pink jerseys

I feel bad for yall. At least the Pats are considered the Evil Empire of the NFL. Its bad enough with the Pinky Sox fans though. Guy didn't know who Carlton Fisk was and thought Ted Williams was the one pleading the ball to stay fair. I understand not knowing every single facet of a franchise, but iconic moments like that?

I'm a Yankees fan, I was 15 years away from being born, and my parents weren't even in the same state, and even I know about Carlton Fisk's homer.

I hate those frickers. In all honesty, somewhere deep way down, beyond my exterior, I respect the Red Sox as an organization. They got their arse beat for many many years and I HATE to say it but from like 2000ish til 07-08 maybe they ran a damn fine organization. I feel like they're turning into the Yankees of 2000-2007 now though. I can't lie, I'm loving this shite.

Bill Belichick is actually a really good guy. Also a very well run organization, Robert Craft backs his guys, is involved, but not Jerry Jones style, and they also run a classy organization.

Its painful. Honestly I'm only 22, so I only have so much history to dwell on, but the pinkies are ruining the Sox.

I'll give him 'good coach' but the video taping and his attitude makes him look like a pompous arse.

This thread is the reason I hate watching UFC fights in public places.

How little your girlfriends know about intricacies football or whatever, is the same as 95% of anyone, male or female, knows about what is going on in the fight.

I used to have to bite my tongue so often that I couldn't enjoy the fight. So I stopped watching them in public. Now I have learned to go with the flow and just agree when someone says some dumb shite

ETA my 95% number is probably accurate, but it doesn't mean 95% of people make such remarks. It's usually only a few who will do it. Everyone else admits, and may ask certain questions or whatever

I wish I had friends that were as gullible as the OP. I would deviously plan that shite out if I could, that would be fricking hilarious.

Damn

I guess if you can do it I should be able to let that shite slide, but it's pretty painful.

And I have never been able to watch any sport publically or even with a bunch of friends. There's always going to be people who either talk out of their arse or complain about shite unnecessarily, and for some reason that really bothers me.

I agree with that...

Though I can let slide most things, I still easily prefer to watch at home, or at certain friends'.

That goes for football or any sport

before the LSU UK game in 2006 I told him they had a badass wide out named Marvin Harrison that we needed to watch out for. He looked like a fricking idiot at our tailgate.

UFC 100 was the worst. I'm kind of use to bandwagon LSU fans talking out of their arse, but 100 was on another level. I don't know how many random arse facebook updates I saw that mentioned how they were gettin ready to watch some UFC, but most led to the age old debate of which is better: UFC or MMA.

i hate watching sports with most other people too. I cant understand why people like to watch important sporting events inside a bar. It fricking blows.

I like the atmosphere, it adds to the hype of a game (for me). IDGAF when my buddy's date says "omg look at #79 he's so fast!" I just like being around people.

I watched the NFC Championship with my wife's family, who know nothing about the NFL. If the Saints would have lost I probably would have killed someone.

I watched the Superbowl, probably the most anticipated game of my life, by myself.

I have like 3 friends that I'll watch a sports with. I just get tired of hearing shite like "bush sucks" or random whiney shite after every incomplete pass.

I hear that. I've got my group of friends, but I'm not walking into a bar by myself to watch an LSU or Saints game with a bunch of randoms for no reason. We all think alike and get similarly pissed about the same shite, so its more like communal suffering. Plus, when you add people, you add wallets, and inevitable dulling of pain becomes cheaper.

I was at the NFC Championship game and when Deuce McAllister presented the trophy to the Bensons, some a-hole comes up to me and asks "Why are they booing?"

In his biography he talks about how he treated the media well in Cleveland and they roasted him at the end. If you listen to ex-players and potential draft picks, they all refer to him as a really good human being. You don't hear a lot of ex-players dumping on him, do you? Last time I checked, high character players like Teddy Bruschi constantly refer to him as a nice guy and high character.
