What about Chad Jones?

I think there are different levels of WMHBs

There is the Elite/All Time Great and then there's every other just unfortunate story, i.e. chad jones, max sapp, etc...

I'll throw Fred Couples into the mix. He won a major, but without his back problems, he could have been much more highly regarded as an all time great.

Josh Hamilton. He missed basically a decade because of drug and alcohol addiction. The way he is playing now, if he had that decade back, he could be a HOFer

he missed 3-4 years

Drafted in 1999, started having problems before the 2001 season. Missed a few years for suspension then caught in with the Reds in 2007.

Guess I should have worded my post differently. Basically 5-6 years where he was injured, on drugs/alcohol, in rehab and suspended. Had he not had that, what could he have done?

Len Bias
JR Richard
Mark Fidrych
Ralph Norwood
Mike Miley
Dwight Gooden
Jamarcus Russell
Bo Jackson
Roberto Clemente
Earl The Goat Manigault.. Hoops Greatest Playground Legends

Of the ones listed that reached greatness, they were abbreviated in longevity, due to either personal choices, health/injury, or mishap. The rest were full of potential that never saw it's blossom.

So you based this on his NFL career that started after he sat out for two years?

Dude was a beast
