The Giants are moving Chad to New York so their doctors can take over his treatment.

I take it this means Chad had already signed with the Giants?

I hope that's true - I was worried for him that they wouldn't sign him after the accident... it might be two years till he runs like himself again (assuming a full recovery) And wow can an accident like he suffered put someone without money into the poorhouse

They see more Trauma victims in a month than most "excellent" hospitals do in a year.

Healthcare in LA pales in comparison to New York, Boston, etc.

If you knew the risk outcomes for certain surgeries in LA compared to other states, you might head out of state too if your insurance allowed it.

There are some good doctors in LA but the best of the best are in the big cities excluding New Orleans especially for children.

Exactly. If you're shot or in a car wreck, you want to go there. If it's something more routine, then you probably want to go to a private hospital.

And they are also moving him to NY/NJ for cost. Much cheaper to have your contracted docs than an out of network

The news said that the Giants were moving him to be cared for by their doctors. They named the hospital but I can't remember the name of it but they said that they were flying him out of New Orleans.

Heard a report that he had around $800,000 in guaranteed money. Good for him if accurate.
