I've been to the impacted areas quite a bit conducting research.

In the upcoming weeks I'll be in various places along the coast dealing with removal of oil from the wetlands.

|ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - A leaky truck filled with oil-stained sand and absorbent boom soaked in crude pulls away from the beach, leaving tar balls in a public parking lot and a messy trail of sand and water on the main beach road. A few miles away, brown liquid drips out of a disposal bin filled with polluted sand.

BP PLC's work to clean up the mess from the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history already has generated more than 1,300 tons of solid waste, and companies it hired to dispose of the material say debris is being handled professionally and carefully.

A spot check of several container sites by The Associated Press, however, found that's not always the case.

The following was posted on a stock site. A phone number along with and org is listed. Is she telling the truth or is there another explanation? I've been a lurker since DWH went down. MY family has interest in O&G and fishing. I care about Louisiana, I live here. Any info is appreciated.

I guess there are still a large percentage of Americans who believe that their elected officials represent them. Your elected officials are bought and paid for by lobbyists hired by corporate America and other worldwide corporations like BP. Both parties Republican and Democrat fall under their sway. Big money controls the power and the instrument of power is Congress, the President and the Judiciary. All bought and paid for and given marching orders by the corporate heads. They are all in collusion. The very few who aren't are ostracized and have no impact on the decisions made at the federal level. If more Americans understood this then I believe there could truly be a groundswell of support for a third party candidate who is not in the loop. The only problem is that people like George Soros et. al have the ability to make people go away either by payoff or character assassination or by other means. So the outsider literally risks his reputation or possibly life by speaking out and challenging the existing power structure. I will now end my rant.

Was watching the oil spill segment on the Matthew's show ( I know, I know but I try to span my horizons to be fair and balanced ) and he was interviewing some local official at Pensacola involved with the cleanup. Matthews asked what more could be done to help with the cleanup. The official replied "the workers on the beach need to work more than 10 minutes an hour". Matthews said "what" and the guy replied that according to OSHA that when the temperature is above 90 degrees and the humidity is above 85 then the workers are only okayed to work 10 minutes an hour.

Matthews had no reply and the interview was pretty much over.
