This is incorrect. We average more than that and doubled that when we hosted in last years regional and supers.

I want to say our "capacity" is ~9500. Hard to determine accurate capacity in our berms though. The 6k is probably just the actual seats.

ETA: Per the our official site

quote:

Oxford-University Stadium/ Swayze Field SPORT: Baseball OPENED:1988 CAPACITY:10,323

which is also our record for single game attendance set last year in one of our super regional games. Basically, our capacity breaks down to number of actual seats and add how many people we can fit into the outfield berms.

how about Southern Cal baseball attendance capcity ( with all of the sucess many years ago I would think they would have a larger capacity than where LSU will be playing this week! )

I would rather go to Jackie Robinson stadium than to $C. Not the best area of town.

I knew they had some history, just wasnt aware their stadium was that big.

Having realized this, we need to expand

Agreed but most of that is the massive seating in the outfield.

I assumed so, at least we know those seats would be filled if we added more.

Throw in southern miss that seats 3700 and can squeeze in 5000+ on occasion. Mississippi does pretty well on college baseball

According to the 2010 Mississippi State University Quick Facts, the capacity is 15,000 (grandstand/bleacher seating: approx. 7,200). So, where do the other 7,800 sit? Outfield berms?

No outfield Berms at MSU. Just seating in RF and the "Left field Lounge" aka rust buckets with seats on top.

i.e. Someone is actually proud to own this.....

the LSU athletic department should rent something similar to that and bring it to the stadium in LA
