I love the Lions, and I think they are still a few years away.

I think Stafford and Megatron are a good start. They need to get a lot better on defense, and need to run the ball more effectively.

The problem is that they get behind early, and the run disappears from the game plan.

I have my fingers crossed, though. They are one of my teams, and I want to see them do better this season.

Outside of footballoutsiders.com, I never thought I'd read this comment on a site that I frequent.

They'll be better, but i don't think they'll be good quite yet. Stafford should play better, CJ should be himself, and if Best can be productive while Smith is out then they'll win more games. Their defense is pretty bad though

Schwartz is an excellent defensive coach, and they've added a few free agents on the defensive side of the ball.

Defense can improve quickly. I think the L:ions, given their division, can surprise.

If the Saints can win the Super Bowl then anything is possible.

I see 5 wins as best case scenario. That's a pretty difficult schedule.

damn, that is a really tough schedule for a team that had a shitty record last year....much tougher than what the Saints face this season.

Not this season. Or the next. But MAYBE in about 3 years after Stafford has gotten some good experience, and they build that defense they should be back in the pack.
