You know, these kinds of statements are just ridiculous. This rant is to discuss college and LSU sports. If you don't like the thread, no need to join in to bash an LSU sport or a women's sport that you don't like to watch. There are others who do and that's why they start the threads genius. These women put in just as much hard work and effort on and off the court as any athlete in college. Give them a little respect!

no way uconn should have won when stanford was winning by 9.
I was watching and Stanford went just 10 seconds short of 5 minutes into the second half with no points. UConn was 6 of something like 35 in the first half; they had to start shooting a better percentage at some point and did. Stanford scored 27 in the 2nd half which was more than their 20 first half points but UConn turned it on and started hitting their shots; that was the difference.

I heard Pederson's comment, and while it sucks to listen to, she's right. We had one of the elite programs in women's ball for a few years and should have at least one national title.

Even though most of you might not care, it seems like the women's basketball world views us like the Buffalo Bills.

Its this kind of thinking that differentiates LSU from say, Florida. UF expects to win at EVERYTHING - and they demand it- their AD demands it - their fan base takes pride in their overall sports program. And they compete at the top levels of just about every sport except womens basketball.

If LSU is on the jersey we should all demand a winning product that is in real competition for championships regularly. I'm talking golf, tennis, soccer, softball - all of it.

Yeah, I get a billion times more satisfaction when LSU is winning in football and baseball, but I would like to see LSU improve overall in the other sports as well.

Truth hurts. If the Lady Tigers make their free throws and hit their lay-ups, they beat Tennessee and win at least one National Championship in St. Petersburg, Florida. Sometimes, you need people in the game who can shoot free throws instead of three-point shots or easy baskets in the low post. That's why girls transfer every year who sit the bench or give up basketball altogether because they do not get a fair shot at playing under LSU's coaches. LSU women's teams deserve to be mentioned with the Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings and LSU Men's Basketball team for always not being able to finish on their sport's grandest stage - the FINAL FOUR.

I tried...really tried...to watch the women's bb championship. It was horrible. I'm pretty sure I could go out there and play against those women. Their "shooting" was horrendous.

Not to hijack but my brother and I were discussing this last night: Do you think LeBron James and 1 other NBA player could destroy UConn? I think it wouldn't be close...LeBron and Co would regulate.

Thoughts?

The halftime score was 20-12.
Uconn shot 18% from the field.
Stanford shot 25%.
The way they were playing, I think a junior high team could have won the national championship last night.

12 points in a half is turrible...I seem to recall someone saying that UConn was 6-36. I could have a better percentage than that.
