Where is a better one?
Please don't say Roccos, Off the Hook, or chimes.

Acme's is actually pretty good, but Bear's is just horrible!

douche, its not a 5 star restaurant, its a freaking bar and grill. you didnt say anything about the way the burger actually tastes.

why are you such a hater??

I've never been to Bear's.

I can definitely say that the roast beef po-boy at Acme is the closest thing in Baton Rouge to what I grew up on in New Orleans, though.

I haven't been to Bear's, but I've been to Dempsey's, Chimes, Pocorello's, and several others, and I agree that Acme, although not great, is probably the best I've had in BR.

this whole argument hinges on what you consider a roast beef poboy. Bears and acme both have a good debris style roast beef while dempseys has sliced roast beef. I don't really care for debris because I had sliced growing up. I will tip the cap to debris because it's traditional thought

Not a roast beef poboy...but Inga'a Steak Sub with onions, oregeno, Tabasco, and Tony's is among the best sandwich style dishes I have ever eaten.

I have never tried Acme's roast beef. Have tried lots of roast beef's in New Orleans but never Acme's. Will have to give it a try one day.
