I'll have to try it. I always get two sides of corn grits.

I think zea's is extremely over rated but I had the red beans last time and they were awesome.

I've never had a bad meal there either but I once tried my wife's lamb dish and it wasn't good at all. I don't remember exactly what she ordered but the lamb was cut into strips and I think it had a madeira sauce.

Didn't mean to start a Zea's thread...I just meant to comment on their Red Beans. I have liked Zea's for years and tonight was the first time I had ever tried the red beans (i usually get corn grits). They are some of the best red beans I have ever had.

There red beans are the best imo. I order the meal, not the side. It is very good. Comes with 2 pieces of fried chicken and a link of sausage. Very filling and relativiely inexpensive

Excellent red beans. If you like Popeyes red beans, Zeas are even better.

The red bean soup on Mondays is very good as well. I usually get the Asian shrimp and Thai ribs apps with corn grits or the pesto crusted trout with grits.

I also buy their sauces all the time. I love the Thai rib sauce and the garlic soy. I marinate pork tenderloins in the garlic soy and finish it with a pepper jelly glaze. Excellent on the pit or in the oven.

Zea is a pretty solid place.

Maybe I'm just ordering the wrong things. I've tried the grits and the ribs. They were both pretty good. For entrees I had a panini that tasted exactly like a wrap I get at roly poly ( not bad but not worth the price) and I have had some sliced pork lunch special that was doused in sauce that was pretty terrible. Red beans were solid though.

I make the grits at home because I like them so much.

I've never had a sandwich there, nor has anyone I've been with, so I can't comment on those.

I don't know that I could bring myself to have a sandwich. I have a very difficult time avoiding those apps to try something new.
