Last week I had the Red Stick Blue Cheese Burger from Portobello's Grill off of Jones Creek.

It may just be the best Burger I ever ate.........

I never even knew this place was hidden back off of George O'neal. Very nice!!!!!

Porobello's has some very good things on their menu, but IMO Italian food isn't one of them. Along with the burgers, the ribeye & the bone-in pork chops are delicious.

You're kidding, right? LSUDad isn't a big fan of Portobello's.

"The Cajun Shrimp Burger" at Mason's Grill was pick the best in the state by Food Network Magazine. I have never had one but my brother says it is great!

I personally think that burger is overrated. The buns they use are way too sweet, and after you've had it a couple of times it's just meh IMO.

my favorite burger is from jay's bbq. it kinda has that drive-in burger taste, and they press the bun a bit to toast it.

Noted and I will certainly give it a try.

Over the years, I have been partial to Mason's Grill, Capital City Grill, J Alexanders, Another Broken Egg Cafe and Superior Grill for having the best burgers in town.

I would have done better to eat the leather on my belt. This was the one across from Mike Andersons....

The one out here by the house, one night I got the Grilled Shrimp Ceasar Salad, thinking they couldn't screw that up.....

Then my niece gets sick from the food.

Yea, I'm not a fan.......but a couple of the girls that worked at Cafe Americain now work there, guess I need to stop... maybe just get bottle water.

every girl that i've ever seen working at cafe american, was either past her prime & tired looking, an unattractive lesbian, or around 17 years old and pregnant.

I like the Big Chessy Lou at Louie's

George's has a very solid burger as well

And Dearman's was awesome last time I went too.

And FWIW, when I was at grad school at LSU, I had to do a research report on prison work-release programs, which help prisoners learn a trade and then get them hired upon release. The main place in BR that hired the prisoners upon release for food prep was Portobello's...
