the food isnt awful but its nothing special. i mean its no more than you would expect from local restaurants cooking mass quanties.

I think we have shown and sustained a considerably high level of success this decade and hence if properly marketed and advertised (even with high entry fees), there will be enough new students/ alumnus wanting to be part of it for at least the new few years.

I've been once. Not worth $40 dollars, that's for sure.

I would tend to agree.

Recruiting has become a big part of "year round" college football but I'm not paying 45 bucks for this event.

More marketing and merchandising is needed--the days when you could just throw a half-assed buffet out there and charge people almost fifty bucks to sit around all day at a recruiting "bash" are over.

after a down year and all the fans no longer sold on the HC, it's a tough sell buddy...

Used to go religiously, but I haven't been since 2004. With all of the early commits and ability of most fans to do the math, the bash has become anticlimactic. Maybe one or two surprises, but that's it.

It's become too expensive in both monetary terms and time.

meh... a few folks shouting boo in an internet forum isn't going to have much effect on a live event.

It might not be that good as before because of poor arrangements, mediocre food, internet being main provider of recruiting info etc... but not because of Ranters thinking that Miles sucks.

Even if the ranters go in person to say that, they would have still paid for the event and that is what the bash wants ( to sell tickets).

What would be cool is if LSU agrees to provide recruiting info as a service (i.e. time of verbal) and then throws in the bash as a finale.

Yeah, I'm sure the first home game in Tiger Stadium next year won't even sell out.

and you're usually one of the last to find out

its much more fun (if youre going to take off of work, or already have off), to sit at someones house with a few friends and watch TV as it happens and bbq or something

I can't think of anywhere else that I can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner and get free beer all day (while talking LSU football and recruiting) for $40.00?

I also like to hear the band perform and the coach's speach at the end of the day.

If you don't like it, don't go.

I can't afford to give up the day of the work, but it definitely wouldn't be for the coach's speach.

I don't know what speach means, but it does have to be better than his speech, though.

Yall are bunch of little whiney bitches.

Ive been to every bsh sinve 2000 and even though 2 yrs ago they did have some issues with space and set up, I thought last year was much imporeved'

They used to have it at atrium now its at river center.
Good move much more space.

For the money you get breakfast, lunch and dinner not to mention all the beer you drink or cokes if you nmot a drinker.

What better do you have to do on a wednesday anyway?

This year's class won't generate the excitement to warrant that kind of entry fee for what basically amounts to a catered pep rally. Now if we keep the guys that have already commited for 2011 for LSU, it has the potential to be our best class ever.

Dude seriously, Im pretty sure all the different things provided more than cover the entry fee, the class is just the encore.
