re: Miles-Krag and the JJ situation

Do you think we'll have a legit QB competition going in to the season?
No, not as long as Miles is the head coach.

I understand that the job is JJ's to lose but is there any chance at all that he loses it?
Only if he starts losing games. Miles doesn't seem to care about winning ugly or JJ's poor performance as long as there is a 'W'.

In reality, it's not really a game. It's just a controlled scrimmage that doesn't mean anything and has been watered down considerably since Coach Senioritis arrived.

An effort was made on the part of a large group of fans to 'amp up' things in Miles' first season. We contacted Stanley Bertman's athletic department with our plans, and they discouraged us from doing anything more than what was already planned.

Apparently, LSU doesn't want it to be anything.
Who cares? It's preseason #1. No trophy for that. LOL

Best QB in the SEC? You've got to be kidding. LOL
Thanks for your dedication to LSU, Bob. Good luck to you! I'm sure you'll land on your feet!

NOTE: For those of you bickering over why or why not he wanted a head coaching job, much of it had to do with Bob's lack of a college degree. Unless he got it in the last three seasons when Van was the head coach, Bob never finished college. Universities are pretty adamant about having coaches with degrees and prefer a master's degree.
I think the team has been leading JJ, not the other way around.
Holly Warlick will be the next coach at Tennessee.

Shep didn't play a lot because Miles didn't want him to play a lot. Plain and simple.

Miles is the head coach. He makes the decisions -- albeit horrible outcomes.

A friend of mine that's a sec coach thinks van has gotten a little lazy.

Very true.

$500K a year to play golf. Good gig.
Lazy and out of shape.

Either change the resolution on your screen or get the author to make one to fit.

Uh, no, sorry.

And Payton's visor fits.

I used to have one of all of those. Don't know where they went ...

They're all legit.

Owner knew kids on the team personally (family friends) during Saban years and attended practice regularly. He made the photo collages for the players. Gave one to them, and they signed one for him. The individual player pics are one of a kind. There are no others like them.

The other items from the 1960s were obtained by him when he was a kid and would write Coach Mac and ask for autographs. Still has the original letters and envelopes.

Owner has moved overseas and left the items along with AFL and NFL football cards from the 1960s, other autographed NFL and AFL memorabilia, some rare WW2 items, uncirculated coins and a stamp collection.

He wasn't let go. Miles plans to fill the position, not leave it vacant. At least, that's the plan today.

It's not about what Tennessee does. It's about what LSU does.

Stop comparing LSU to others and convince LSU to set the standard.

I'm ready to see winning and some intelligent coaching at LSU! Come on baseball!

Why would he have gone on ESPN for Gameday and put on an purple coat?

I think there's some holiday in Louisiana called Mardi Gras coming up that has purple as a color. Not sure, but I read that someplace.
