My argument is that other than the SEC no conference can really talk much shite.
USC alone can, but the rest of the Pac10 hasn't done dick in BCS games, either.

i enjoyed every second of that. It proves that the BE is not as bad as espn says when your average BE team in VT leave and dominates from day 1. Most if not all of beamers big wins were in the BE. I can't think of any while in the ACC b/c there has been none in the ACC worth note or OOC

What's so hard to understand? Florida State beat Virginia Tech who is now in the ACC. If 2 ACC teams played, naturally one of them had to win. 1-10 or 2-11 if you want to look at it that way. Either way, the FSU win was against a team that is now in the ACC.

Great coaches in the NOW? Well, what qualifies as great? Beamer (and say what you want about '07, he got us and Nicky in '02); Butch Davis; Bowden WAS and then became just a caricature of himself. Then, you just have a lot of solid coaches who have been around as coordinators and became successful at some level - Fat Ralph, Paul Johnson, David Cutcliffe. Then you have up and hopeful comers like Shannon, soon to be Jimbo, and the guy at Clemson (name escapes me).
What is an elite coach? Petey? Stoops? Spurrier? Anyone else who has won ONE BCS championship?

As long as you can pull the hosses and 4 and 5 star players, coaching is just a small part of the business as Bobby Bowden and Lou Holtz have both said. You can't do that at 75 percent of the ACC schools.
