I just wonder if ESPN wouldve taken a different approach had it not been Craig James' son.

Come on. I think everyone, including you, knows the answer to that question.

They're corporate...taking the pc side of things, knowing that they have C James on command live when needed.
The more they push this side, better ratings, they earn more period.
Leach got himself fired, he's smart to be quiet and cash in later.
Jr. James and sibling better get out of Lubbock ASAP.

This story is so leaning in Leach's favor, I wonder whether ESPN pumps up the volume or finally walks away.
Craig James works for ESPN. They are just covering for their buddy, it seems. It's really been lousy journalism.

Sure, nobody can touch ESPN when it comes to volume, but don't you think it might catch up to them sooner or later?

That is exactly what it is. CJ is a bitch, and I hope Leach sues TT for EVERYTHING.

I'd like to hear what the real Mike & Mike would say about this whole thing. I kinda doubt they would do the hatchet job on Leach that the subs did on him Thursday morning.
BTW, Have a GREAT 2010!

it was wrong for espn to allow james to speak out against leach on national tv....james's son to me sounds like a little bitch anyways...i say the boy was faking...if my son was in immediate danger that would be one thing...but craig james already knew his son is a lazy little complainer baby anyways...it wasnt the first time....craig should of blasted his son, my son would never cause one lick of problem there...his son caused problems all the time....thats the problem with parents...they defend their child too much.....craig cut his own nuts but going on nat tv on espn......i lost respect for him.....
if im an A.D. in the big 12 and need a head coach, im looking to hire leech .....revenge.....

Fox sports and Vs need to step their game up. And I think one of the other networks (NBC or CBS) needs to start up a basic cable sports network.

No doubt. ESPN is basically a monopoly for sports. What a RIVAL would need to do is pick a fight with ESPN and their coverage. Just keep pumping it until your network starts getting press about ESPN's bias coverage. Keep building it up as much as possible. I remember CNNSI had a station on DIRECT TV years ago that was on channel 204 (ESPN 206). Now you got to go to the 600s for another sports station.

and people still argue that the media isnt biased.

While i agree that ESPN is blatantly telling only one side of the story,Mike Leach deserved to be fired. The whole put the guy in a shed thing is being way overblown but Leach was fired for insubordination. As soon as he filed that motion in court he knew he was fired. It's all about the money now.He could win that part of the case but I don't believe he actually wanted to stay at TT because he knew that if he filed the court motion he would be fired. He'll get a job somewhere in a year.

Good luck to Tech finding a coach who can average 8-9 wins a season in Lubbock (especially after firing their all-time-winningest coach the day before he was due an $800,000 incentive) ...

about as ling as it takes for the comcast / NBC merger to create a sports network with as much reach and programming. ESPN has no true competition Now but in 2-3 years I'll bet Comcast will put together a true rival

Looks pretty clear to me that it is TT and ESPN vs. Leach.
I mentioned this on here the other day

so what came of Leach's interview w/ ESPN last night?

I know a couple of you are lawyers, so I'm wondering if there's any chance Leach has a case to sue ESPN too?
