It's not even like people are pretending the Colts/Saints are "the greatest team ever" a la the Patriots.

Well, if one of them wins it undefeated, the 72 Dolphins will no longer be in the argument.

but doesn't Don Shula, Nick Buoniconti, Bob Griese pop the champagne when the last undefeated loses each season?
I actually think this is cool. They should toast and have a little party. It is their record to lose. Mercury Morris is just making up for all of the lost time. He had to spend some time in prison for cocaine. If not he probably would have been on TV doing commentary.

Regardless of what y'all might think of him as a person, the man can rhyme.

They can't lose it. They went 17-0, no one can ever take that away. Celebrating they way they do makes them look like petty douchebags

but the ironic thing is this year it could happen and in miami of all places that will be great to shut their asses up

His 72 Dolphin team wouldn't stand a chance against most if not all of the current NFL teams.
Wrong...They were a solid team; very balanced on offense and the "No-Name" defense was top notch.
With that being said, MM is obnoxious and goes overboard. As far as the rest popping a cork and celebrating...that's cool. Who wouldn't enjoy being a part of that?

I am hoping the Saints and Colts go undefeated and make it to the Super Bowl. That way, there is a guarantee that these Dolphins celebrations will become a thing of the past.

...Hell yeah, he saw the field. Lots of it. The Merc' was a key guy in the offense....

Didn't read thread but Mercury is a class A a-hole.

Dolphin fan here, but I 100% agree.

...for 1972. Their lines would get abused by today's teams.

Agreed. I think Jamarcus Russell is probably bigger than anybody they had on the entire team.

I can't imagine drew acting like a douchebag like he does if the Saints were to go 19-0 and no other team would have done so 30 years later.

Wow, I was kind of pulling that out my arse. I didn't realize it was accurate.

I mean did this guy even see the field for the dolphins, i thought he was a bench warmer?
Catastrophic fail.

Quick: how many teams with winning records did they beat?
How many close games against bad teams did they have?
I mean, if they can scrutinize the Saints and Colts for their schedules, then the 72 Dolphins need to be put under the same microscope...
