I can summarize his thinking - "hmm miles seems to be making some decent hires and chances are high that I won't get another chance to pull him down for the next few seasons - might as well get some shots before the season starts"

Honestly, has GG said anything positive about Miles or LSU since Miles arrived.

I think to most it may appear as somewhat of a lateral move. Unless the passing game coordinator thing is for real, I don't think it is uncalled for to question his motives for leaving UF.

Anything Miles does Guilbeau criticizes. I like Glenn overall, but he has a huge bias against Miles. I think it has to do with the fact that Glenn is perceived as one of Saban's biggest defenders.
I think his real thinking is apparent from the comment about LSU having assistants with Louisiana ties. He harped on that about both Wilson & Tolbert. While in theory I agree with him, I think taking a coach from Urban Meyer is a good move. Plus, I think it speaks well of the respect other coaches have for Miles that he would be interesting in coming here.

it's possible Urban encouraged him to look around for other potential places to coach next year...i.e. Mallveto

Guilbeau is the John Walker Lindh of sports journalism.

Sloppy seconds? Beats me.

The only thing I remember being mentioned by some fla fans was that Meyer wanted to clean house on the offense. So he prob let everyone know ahead of time to find somewhere else to coach. That and the fact that gonzales was passed over by Meyer didn't sit well with Gonzales. Also heard that Gonzales would have more input here in the game planning and preparation aspect for lsu. But my point is, it seems Meyer wanted to clean house, but that doesn't mean something fishy is going on. I think the article was fishing for a story.

Was it as "fishy" as Willis (former AU player) leaving AU as LB's coach to go to Bama?
Wonder would it have been fishy had Saban hired him at Bama?

The only thing Guilbeau smells fishy is his boyfriend's arse...

If the King of the DB Kingdom doesn't like the hire, I immediately like it that much more!

This is the same guy who goes on Finescum and talks bad about LSU football program every year and you would think he is correct?

That idiot takes the opposite side on any issue just to piss people off. If people are piling on Miles, he'll write about how great Miles is. If the fanbase is warming up to some of Miles hires, he will take a dump on it.
It's the same old shite for years.
