ESPN Bowl Projections

Last week there was talk that LSU was a lock to go to the Capital One Bowl if they just beat La Tech, and split the last two games. But after looking pitiful in the win vs. Tech, and combining it with lackluster wins vs. Washington, Vandy, ULL, and Miss St, the perception of LSU around the country is that they aren't a good team. Yes, we have only lost to arguably the top two teams in the country, but we haven't beaten any body worth a darn either. If LSU would handle the cupcakes the way a top 10 team does, then they would be more respected by voters and bowl selection committees. As it stands, the game Saturday is now for a Capital One Bowl berth.

These are projections and they are projecting us to drop another game b/c we can't get up for any games. Les does not prepare our team to play week in and week out and I will battle anyone who says he does. Who would like my challenge???

Get a grip! The only thing that makes any difference in selecting a team for a Bowl is the amount of money the Bowl can make. Do you actually think that the Cap One Bowl committee gives a damn about how we played against Tech? Here we have a coach that reached 50 wins faster than any other LSU coach, has a chance to finish in the Top 5 for 4 of his first 5 years, currently stands at #8 in the BCS, and you want to run him into the ground.

Absolutely pathetic.

I'm not following you here. Feldman has said LSU in Cotton for weeks and it appears he still is. Schlabach just keeps flopping teams around Cotton, Cap One and Outback.

I fail to see how 31-3 is a lackluster performance against ULL.

I don't think they're saying that if we win out, we're now at a lesser bowl b/c we haven't looked as impressive....

I think they're saying that based off the way we look, they are projecting us to lose another game, hence the drop to a lesser bowl.

I mean one has AL and the other has FL in the NCG. They are obviously factoring in that they think one of these teams will lose between now and then

I guess that's why we're ranked in the top 10 in every major poll.

Would rather play a Big 12 team than a joke Big 10 team so Cotton is more attractive to me.

Weak minded, immature individuals like yourself are desperate to pull something out of thin air daily now.

Nothing has changed.

It amazes me that every day people are in such a "Les Miles Sucks no matter what" mood, that they will just post anything to try to discredit him.

I don't know what the average age for your ilk is but I can only hope you are all a bunch of young guys who have only been LSU fans for the last decade to be panicking over a coach with Les' track record.

Your whole premise is disproved by the one line in this article from the day before the Tech game.

Can't you Miles haters just wait for him to destroy the team before post this crap?

Just try to be an adult for another two weeks while the season plays out.

We are the highest ranked 2 loss team in the BCS, and are ranked ahead of most 1 loss teams. How much respect do you want?
