re: Jefferson interview on ATL sports radio this morning
Posted by Eye Heart Number 4 on 2/9/12 at 11:59 am to Godfather1
Who knew, all this time, that LSU was holding JJ back as far as his passing prowess. The absolute best part of the interview was when the interviewer said "we have Jordan Jefferson, FORMER LSU quarterback".

After the loyalty Miles has shown to JJ, how in the hell could he throw Les under the bus? Classless.

re: Oklahoma State had the 107th ranked Total Defense...that is why they are out

Couldn't agree more about the intensity, and the fact that Bama is the 2nd best team in the country. My only gripe is the hypocrisy of the media - they did everything they could to make Bama was #2 - "eyeball test"?
If OSU would have made the FG against Iowa St (or had it been called a made FG), wouldn't Bama still be the 2nd best team in the country?

The eyeball test is a joke - had OSU made that last FG against Iowa St., wouldn't Bama still be the only team that can beat LSU?
re: If the BCS works out like we suspect

If the BCS was designed to put the 2 best teams in, why has the SEC dominated over the last 5 years, several times with the SEC opponent #2 going in?

If OSU wins by 2 TDs, I'd say yes. Gundy will cry in the postgame press conference, citing the death of the 2 basketball coaches.

Have you ever spoken to the guy? How does it "seem" like his IQ is low just from what we can see and not hear? Are you in film study with him?
One of my children is an athlete at LSU and has had direct contact with JJ in both academic and athletic settings. I yield back the balance of my time.

You're a fricking joke.
Game, set, match - next time try a little harder. When you're out of ideas, resort to personal attacks.
For the record, I like JJ, and he definitely represents the best chance for us to win the SECCG and BCSNG. I just don't think he has the "smarts" to play in the NFL.

That's by design. Les wants him to shorten the game. That's actually an example of him being smarter, not dumber.
So that confused look on his face when he gets the play signaled in is all part of Les' genius? I can't keep this thread going, as it is unfair to engage in a battle of wits when you are clearly unarmed.

Do you mind providing any examples of this?
Here's one - do you ever notice that JJ takes the game clock down to 1 second on almost every play?

How do you know this? Speaking of not processing things quickly enough, how would you explain JLee's complete panic and tossing the ball up in the middle of the field when he is pressured?
How do I know this? Have you seen JJ play? And what does JL have anything to do with JJ's mental acuity?

JJ's main problem is between his ears. He simply can't process things quickly enough - he's JR without the arm.
Gundy is setting up ESPN and voters...
Posted by Eye Heart Number 4 on 12/1/11 at 10:14 am
"If somebody sat me down and said you had to make a decision with where we are at right now, Alabama lost to what would be the number one team in the country and Oklahoma State lost to Iowa State," Gundy said. "If I was doing it fair, I don't know how I could put us in front of them right now."
He is focusing on the LOSS right now, but after he beats OU, he will immediately ask the voters to focus on the WINS, and he has the upper hand there. Just Sayin'

JayBird may be an Oooh La La homer, but he makes some good points.
Gundy will go Miles and win over the voters...
Posted by Eye Heart Number 4 on 11/28/11 at 12:23 pm
All OSU needs is Herbie to mention Gundy for an open coaching job. Gundy calls a presser Saturday afternoon, states that he is staying at OSU, and he is playing for the memory of the deceased basketball coaches.
Late in the 3rd Quarter, with OSU pulling away, and Clemson beating VT, the announcers will start to beat the drum, and the clincher will be a tearful Gundy following the game.
LSU v OSU.

re: Basketball: LSU 82 vs. Northwestern 88, Final
Posted by Eye Heart Number 4 on 11/17/11 at 4:15 pm to snackpack
Bottom line - NW made adjustments at half and TJ did nothing. We score 41, 41. NW scores 32, 56. Outcoached yet again. And can someone teach Storm not to foul?

We WON'T lose to Arky, but if we do, we will still represent the SEC West. No need to worry.
