This is the public perception

But the first-class way Miles handled the situation today at his weekly press conference should be bound and distributed to the rest of the SEC coaches and committed to memory.

I thought Miles and Bertman made an even bigger pussy move in 2005 by going to the Cotton Bowl before the 2005 SEC championship game pleading to be taken in case UGA kicks our arse. UGA did kick our arse and the Cotton Bowl picked someone else. Stay at LSU and coach and quit begging for scraps.

He has to get his team focused for the three game stretch. he doesn't want his team feeling the weakness of "the victim" he wants them feeling the hunger of the predator.

He also has the maturity to know that THE GAME IS OVER and that IT CAN NOT BE OVERTURNED; so why not take the high road and bet that his classiness wins him that call in the next big game.

Pimp, we've been agreeing way too much this year. You nailed it.

I think it's hilarious that all of these people are abandoning Les over this non-issue. I mean there are plenty of other reasons, football related ones, to dislike him but THIS was what did it.

Les can not get the score changed. He can't make this a bigger issue than it already is, media has it covered. He still has a highly ranked two loss team the he has to prepare to play this week and getting fined and/or suspended will not help that. To say that he loses respect from the players over this is frickING RETARDED when you don't know how he addressed the team on this issue.

But please, if someone has been in the team meetings and heard how Les lost his player's respect over this then please speak up.

Congratulations, the Bammers are all saying how much "respect" they now have for Miles. No fear, respect.

So i guess yelling and screaming about something that can't be changed would strike fear into the rest of the SEC? Just stop...you've already embarrassed yourself enough.

Pimp, you have been all over every thread trying to make Mile's behavior look acceptable, it is acceptable, for a bureaucrat at La. Dept of Weight & Measures. It is not acceptable for a college football coach to watch his team get jobbed, on multiple calls, AS SUPPORTED BY THE NATIONAL MEDIA, and sit back and play dumb.

The man has obviously lost the fire in his belly for the job. It was actually a great opportunity to make a statement of strength, to instill an "us against the world" attitude with his team. Instead Miles /Alleva respond with "I guess it's ok".

I wouldn't say he played it dumb. As a matter fact, i would argue that he played it very smart.
