Hadn't been there in a while, used to love getting a huge burger there when I was younger.

Went yesterday before the Saints game. Was pretty disappointed. Burgers were much smaller than I remember...or maybe I'm just fatter than I used to be.

Anyone else thing Port of Call isn't as good as it used to be?

i haven't been in about a year, but it was still good when i went. I could go without the potato, but the burger is why i go.

Before my first visit there, this annoying guy talked them up so damn much that I couldn't even enjoy it when i had it.

undertandable.

with a monsoon while you wait the burgers are great. If you don't have one then the burgers are just good.

It's a good hamburger.

People talking up the place like it's some sort of grand culinary mecca are the only thing that makes it "overrated."

I've never really understood those folks, but I really just like the place for what it is.

The last few months the Burgers and buns have gotten a little smaller in diameter, but are still the same thickness (TWSS). Thursday night the potato was pretty small and overcooked, which was disappointing.

the poo smell in there makes it hard to stomach their burger.....but I do like a PoC burger....and potato.

Love it. We always hit it up when we go down there for a Saints game. The burger could be seasoned better, but you definitely get your money's worth. Never had any complaints when I've gone.

I enjoy the burgers, but the monsoon is way too sweet for my taste.

i think they are disgustingly sweet, but they make food taste better after one or two.

It's always as great as I remember. I honestly have never been disappointed. The only time I'm disappointed is when I try a different place and I remind myself that nothing is as good as POC.

had it sunday before the saints game as well and the burger was just as good as always...and of course the baked potato was full of artery clogging goodness.

the real problem is they haven't offered their pizza since katrina...it was the perfect app imo...i've heard 2 stories as to why they no longer offer it: 1) the vendor they used for the dough went out of business 2) the oven they used finally crapped out and they never repaired/replace it. no idea if either is true.
